Does the art have to be hand drawn or we are allowed to rework a vehichle from the computer if so, I don't have photo shop but I was wondering if I can use the PAINT program for this.

Hi Ron, welcome to the HAMB! Glad to see you finally found your way to the best site on the web.

By the bye, is that your old COE that was consumed by the fire? If so, very sad.

Anyway, glad to see you here.

    OK Nate

Here's my left nut...and a right hand crescent wrench to go with! :D

  14. Hack, I could see doing this to a late forties/early fifties Dodge/Chrylser coupe. They have that long ass trunk that looks so weird.

  15. Ok,

So, I haven't gotten to draw the car that should be transported just yet, but I wanted to get this in before the end this time.

I am thinking one of those late 50's early 60's buses, either a GM or Western Flyer type, with the end chopped out and an extra axle added to stregthen the rear end and its carrying capacity.

Sort of a European auto carrier with American bits.

I'll work on the car part.... and hopefully get it in before this one is done.

whenever someone makes a comment, the subject bumps back to the top. So if someone just wants to help keep it in view in the first few pages, they do a 'bump' or put bttt in the comment. bttt means 'back to the top'.

I dont know...bump... what you are ...bump... talking about. I dont ...bump... hear any...bump...thing.

  21. you guys are bumpin crazy.

I'm working on mine, I think others are too.. :D

  22. I have no idea why you think it must be a truck-based vehicle, nor so damn high...
These are FWD, and that opens the rear up for a very low bed, easier loading. And you can take all your friends.

Okay, here's ANOTHER one for ya! I call this Kenworth-based hauler "Max" after the dorky red robot in the movie "The Black Hole", because that's what I had on the TV while I was drawing it today!! Ha Ha...what a HORRIBLE movie...but I think the rig turned out okay!

It kinda plays on that Yuppie "One-Upmanship" thing that was going on before gas prices took off...the whole "I gotta have a BIGGER Yuppie Truck than YOUR Yuppie Truck" mentality that lead to the ridiculous "Super Crewzer" and the like! (Trucks that gave mindless weenies the means to block your street for twenty minutes while they try to back their simple boat trailers into the yard!) Ha Ha...anyhow...this rig pulls no punches...it doesn't PRETEND to be a big rig cuz it IS a Big Rig!! Just stretched and equipped with a flatbed in place of the fifth wheel...and an adequate sleeper to accomodate a driver and a buddy on a cross-country project-fetching trek or a weekend at the lakes, strip or other races! I gave it a 70s era paint job to go with it's vintage and tossed a lakes-inspired roadster on the spacious deck for this rendering. As the famous mudflaps of the 70s used to say..."Keep On Truckin'"!!!!

    :D

I also did this one today, although I'm not real thrilled with it. Just another means of hauling a racing kart to and from the track with a dash of style and panache! A 55 panel with a heavily huffed 348 mill rippin' up the pavement with it's oversized rear rubber!!

Hey! Who says the "transporter" has to be strictly a GROUND vehicle?! Ha Ha...with THIS baby, you can drop into your favorite event complete with your ride, tool box and and all without having to worry about traffic jams or overheating in line at the gate!! (Plus...if you're REAL good, you might just nab a primo spot right next to the beer tent...uhh, or on TOP of it?!)

    :D

Thanks...just having soem fun with this one!!!

  30. Years ago I had visions of a COE-Ranchero. Chip Foose sketched it out for me. The older I get though, the less I want to take on the challenge. My tastes have changed over the years & now I lean more toward a stock body on an updated chassis.

I'd still love to see this truck built... I won't be the one to do it though.
