I wish I could go, but live on the other side of the country now. I think the last time I was there was 2003, and coincidentally I just developed a disposable camera last week that has a few pics from that show. I couldn't believe the camera was that old! Have fun and take some pics!

This is one event I've always wanted to attend. Not planning on dying any time soon so maybe there is a chance I'll make it yet.:)

Everyone parking in the SGP parking area arriving early. Please leave the first 10 spots open for the host club. The first area by the fence has been reserved for the Draglinks. The rest of the 50 spaces have at em!!!

For those of you who are going and have not received this notice, please be advised that they are trying to take the fun out of being there once again.

  14. The last few years they have had a "cruise" in the lot next to the speedway to try and make up for this.

Why doesn't somebody (maybe a local car club) organize a small "traditional only" get together on Friday or Saturday night? There are plenty of bars/restaurants in Daytona that could benefit from this. God knows the "activities" held at the track parking lot are boring. There are definately enough like minded folks in the area already, you could get a pretty good turn out, I'd think.

that there sounds like a sensational idear! me and all my friends would be more than glad to attend something like that. we dont live in the Daytona area so can't really do much about reserving a space for such a get together.

i must agree in that the activities at the track are not for everyone lets say.

  29. Would anyone be interested in taking time to cruise to Ocala to visit Big's museum?

The map shows a little under 80 miles @ 1 hr 49 minutes drive time.

    Maybe Friday or Sunday?

Big Daddy's Museum is worth the trip ... :D

As a side note ... be real careful on Sunday coming home from the Turkey Run ... the traffic is ALWAYS terrible. I suggest staying at the show on Sunday ... spending the night in Daytona Sunday night and heading home on Monday if you can ...

I know of 5 folks who have been involved in auto accidents on the Sunday drive home ... in the last 10 years.
