And stay the hell away from Palatka if you know what's good for you.
But in all seriousness, if you folks are coming thru these parts you really should go through the Ocala National Forest, it is beautiful, and a lot of Florida's being destroyed, so enjoy it while you can.
I'm looking forward to this show, it's gonna be great.

The Salvagerz are going to be there as well. Should be one hell of a good time with all of Florida's clubs in the same hotel for a weekend!

Sounds like a blast. We've had several events at "Big Daddy's" Museum for the FordBarn.com Flathead V8's. A bunch of us from the Tampa Bay area will be up for it, I'm sure.

I just exchanged a few emails with my pal Craig Suman in Melbourne Florida who also has a '47 Olds convert and he already knew about the show and said him and my pal Bones with a 40 Ford, also from Melbourne, are planning on attending along with some of their other pals.

Just thought the Poor Boys would want to know that the word is out to others besides HAMB folks. GREAT job!

I'll answer that for you, a Village Inn coocnut cream pie, a pack of Oscar Meyer wieners, some sliced baloney, a 12 pack of Negra Modella and a new pair of Dickies.

Hotel room is booked. The only thing that would stop me is an OUTRAGIOUS flight cost.

  18. They say that there are words that just sound funny. I didn't think you could pack that many funny words in a sentence without it being a joke... Coconut, wieners, baloney, Dickies... all you need is a duck and a banana.:D

Who has found available rooms besides the Sleep in? It's full up! we need resources.

I'm getting excited about this, two reasons. First it's Billetproof, what else has to be said. Second, it's given me the incentive to finish the '64 ElCamino and get it on the road. I believe that a 3,000 mile jaunt (down and back) will seat the rings and find any gremlins that I neglect to uncover during the rebuild. I'll just be sure to take all of my tools and half the shop with me.
If I don't make the target date it's the "friendy skies" and my inlaws picking me (us, the wife wants to go) up at the airport and loaning us a car for the weekend.:) Either way, how can I loose?

Just called the host hotel and booked rooms. The hotel is NOT booked, only the block of rooms set aside for the special show rate are full. I got 2 rooms for $98/night instead of the $79 show rate.

Jay and I, with our signifigant others will be coming in on Friday night. Should get there somewhere between 7-8 PM. We'll stay through Sunday and then Glenn's "Poor Boy Approved" travel agent has got us booked on a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas. really looking forward to ALL of it.
