it's *awesome* sitting just the way it is. dont be tempted to chop it!! I like the broken back look too. The only thing I'd do to it is paint it, 'flake it in fact.
I vaguely remember seeing pics of your Model A before. I love it, especially the color combination! Thanks, Kurt
I wouldn't change that car 1 bit. In fact, when fabrication on my car is done and I take it apart for paint and detail, I plan to raise the back quite a bit. I also do not plan to chop it. Yours looks great! -Jeff
Man oh man. Never thought I would get this kind of feedback. Always felt somewhat hesitant to post anything on here. Usually because everything I wanted to ask was already archived and posted. Gotta say Thanks to all of you once again for your input. I just learned that I could have done a poll on here. That would have been interesting but I think Its just going to come down to how I feel in the A as I drive it more and more. I remember reading somewhere that Its not a True Hot Rod Unless its chopped. lol not that I agree just what I read.
I think the Model A 5 Window coupe has got to make the top 5 as far as being THE MOST HOT RODDED American car ever Made. And I do mean HOT ROD! EDIT TOP 3! I wonder what the numbers would look like if someone took a Poll and see whats actuall out there as far as A Coupes to 32's.
Ratty. You did see this, right? http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa56/DarrenDMc/Misc/?action=view¤t=paso07055.jpg
That was awesome of you to do that. Thanks Man! Helps when its not someone elses car you have to look at when debating your Own cars Chop. Gotta learn that PhotoChop Skill sometime!
Wow Man! Very Nice Indeed! That there is a classic case of NIGHT AND DAY! Say Hatch, Got any front Views Of that Coupe? Also, If you dont mind, Breakdown the details on it. Love that Stance. Thats what Im talking about Dammit!!!!!!! The Stance On these Coupes is Everythng! PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!
Here ya go...six inch channel....almost six inch chop, seven inch z'd rear, but not positive, I didn't do the chassis, and I forget the exact measurement.
Yeah, I agree with some of the others that said that something looks funky regarding the hood line/firewall/bent frame look. I don't what to call it, but I think it looks funny.
See the red line in the pictures below... maybe you like it sitting like that, which is okay, too each their own; but I like it straight, none of that brokeback shit.... just more aesthically pleasing....
To me it looks broken,,, Heres a quick Photoshop... Before: Ow quick note.... You might not want to tell a board of testosterone filled hot rodders that you girl friend won't let you chop your car...hhahahahaha So I dropped the back so it don't look broken at the fire wall. (Some call it So- Cal Broken) Trying to keep the frame following the body. Also Chopped it ...I guess about 4 - 4 1/2... I know your girl will be mad but,,, just think of how much cooler it is looking through that chopped windshield!!! My opinion...but what do I know? evel
Stance IS everything. Hatch nailed his. Yours is cool also. I would take the car Back to "the jack ranch" and see if James Dean has an opinion. I bet he would say do what you like... Enjoy
Nobilleta - I love that car. Can you give me the specifics of how you set up the chassis? I cant bear to chop my 31 5 window, too straight. Its a rumble seat though, and I would love to keep that functional so i dont know about channelling and/or z'ing. I too really like the high stance, unchopped, dirt track tires, vrrrrroooom! But I live in Vermont on a dirt road, not in California so I am somewhat prejudiced as well...
evel is dead on. got your stance and your chop in one photo shop. just even out that chanel when you get around to cutting the top down
