flathead ford 3 to 2-bolt distributor adapter

You'll need the cam adapter button too, I think.

 

Check with Dmarv - he sells an adapter that also lets you adjust timing - think he calls it a lead plate.

Also see them (H&C or repro H&C) on eBay from time to time...

You may or may not require the button - depending on your exact combo.

The lead plate that Dmav sells is different than the adaptor. This was a thin cast aluminum piece that allowed guys to run the "crab" style dizzy's on a motor that was set-up for the helmet style dizzy. It was cast so you can still use the vacuum brake set-up.

 

Norm Frick made this adapter. I don't know if he still does. It was 30 bucks on this site but I don't know if it is still active.

I know this is old thread but we just tried to locate one of these and Dick Spadaro is no longer and speedway won't have any till july or so.

Hey! Time to learn an easy traditional tech, if this is an original HC. Buy the appropriate 5/16 helicoil kit, run the drill in it through the hole, run in the special tap in the kit, and just screw in nice new threads good for another 50 or a hundred years. Take you 5 minutes even with having to read the instructions.
Bragging rights: ORIGINAL HC, bub. Restored it myself.
Looks: If I remember right, it uses original 59A vac tube hookup, a classy detail compared to rubber and hoseclamps.
Reality, an optional exercise: Throw the old one and the new one away, it is absurdly easy and dirt cheap to just install a two-bolt cover. You almost certainly have the requisite short cam if it is a hot one. Neater, shorter, cheaper, probably better aligned.
