I just heard that the Old Time Drags that got rained out earlier this summer has actually been rescheduled for Sept. 29th. This is official word from the the owner of the TRP. :) This is really great news, because this is a great race and it's put on by the best car club in Tulsa, the Tulsa Roadsters. Our HAMB buddy Mr. Mac is a member of this club! The A/GAS Racing Anglia will definately be there!!! This is a great track to run on and they have all new facilities.

I don't have any details, I had heard it from a couple of guys around town, so I got on the TRP website and it was on the forum. I'm sure they'll have more details later. I would assume it will be around the same time as originally scheduled. Ted (Mr. Mac) should know more about this

Ok, thanks. I'll see if I can track down anything. Not sure if I'll be able to make it yet, the next month or so is pretty busy. That's probably one of the only weekends I don't have anything going on.

..FYI..the Tulsa Roadsters are not putting this event on. The owner of the track is doing it himself because after 17 years, the Tulsa Roadsters have had enough fun....

It's a tremendous amount of work with little compensation (kinda like Paso and Viva), and the Roadsters are tired...(old?) :D

It was the one spot in Green Country that stayed dry that day.

Being an X-Tulsa Roadster, I wonder....

Even though the Roadsters aren't putting it on, will they be there? Do they endorse this or is the track owner taking advantage of all the hard work they (we) did?

I won't be there if that's the case...

Ryan (monkey) said that they'll be out there at least selling their t-shirts which is at least a good thing. They won't be stuck with them and can at least make some of their money back. I had also heard that they weren't going to be doing anything out there but selling the shirts. It had to be some kind of agreement because Gutterman had said on his board that he had made contact with the club.

  10. I understand that this has been rescheduled again to Oct 20. Is that right? Now I have to decide between this and the Kontinentals Day of the Drags at Temple.
