i wonder how many times he gets almost run off the road..yeah its cool..but if you look in your mirror to do a lane change and look clean over that thing ..i bet hes got to drive really defensive..what he needs is one of those dunebuggy flags...he he he he he

I dig the amount of work that it took to build that thing, but....I'm not really down with the overall looks. The proprtions are just kinda wacked, but thats just me. My other comment would be I hope they didn't cut up a really cherry split window. Hopefully, they just grafted in the back window section.

Its not even a window section from a splitty, its a window divider from a split window bus grafted onto an oval window. Based off how many people say "i can't believe they cut up a split-window" though, it's convincing.

And Franz, the builder, is like 6'3"+. I can't imagine how he gets in it.

Theres nothing left to do to a VW, he did all the tricks including flipping the bus axles upside down and turning the front beam around backwards. This is what the bug has evolved too.:D

I fuckin' LOVE it. Ya know...there's a VW powered front engine rail on Youtube doing a full smokey 1/4 mile pass. I heard it runs in the mid-sixes. I...uh...don't know how I feel about that...BUT Bug-ins are always completely over run by hot chicks. Lots of bikinis and jiggly happiness. We could use a bit more of that at our stuff...

I like VWs and have owned several, but I never cared for the "VW trying to be an open wheel hot rod " thing.

a 5 or 6 inch chop would have been plenty, and maybe you could see out of it.

If this was made of parts from 5 '38 Ford sedans or '37 Airflows or even a Fiat/Simca Topolino instead of 5 '37 (design) "People's Kar's" it would be "Oh so Rad!"

    I hate VW's... I've only owned 3 of them.
Always wanted to chop one too!
That looks like a hotrod to me!
