Here are a couple of my mock up engine. The block and heads are at the Machine shop as we speak. The block and heads are 56. The block is .125 over with forged pistons, crower pontiac 400 rods and a Isky 505C roller cam. The heads are getting gasket matched with small block chev valves. The intake is a Weiand with J-2 carbs and a Joe Hunt magneto.

No, I don't believe they exist for the '59-'64 cylinder heads. Supposedly, they were tied to the J-2 program, and that was only available in '57-'58.

It is my understanding that they are J-2 only.

Here's my 324 with J-2 intake. It will be going in my 29 roadster eventually, but I have another motor (running) I'll use in the mean time. I'm saving up for the sure to be costly Olds machine shop bill.

I dont think they do either ....just wish they did. Most of the ones we see out there were made by ISKY . Im pretty sure isky just copied the olds nascar j2 items . "An isky exclusive While suplies last...at only $24.00 a pair" the ad reads . I would love to have a set for my #23 heads. maybe ill get out the ballpeen........

Where are you guys finding bellhousings for a muncie? How about those directly forward facing water outlets for the intake? I'll have my 394 pics up shortly. Thanks!

the one I posted above is from Ross Racing
but there are and were several manufacturers
the challenging part might be the flywheel
I was lucky enough to find a stick (late) 371 and will use it on the '94 till the '71 gets built.
