I confess I am not a huge 55-57 fan.. in fact I will not stop and look at many unless something really grabs me (basically non-stock like a gasser, custom or highly detailed), maybe because most look the same.. but now I own one... its really Sam F's fault as his 'two' cars have permanently burned a hole in my head...

so here is mine... today

This one I bought from the "for sale" classifieds.It's currently running and driving but is still a project.355 with a tunnel ram 2 450's.575 lift solid cam.It runs pretty good.The rear is getting put together I have to put 488's in it to drive it in traffic.

 

Here's mine.
Owned it for over 10 years, finally doing a frame-off in 2001. The frame-off took all the fun out of the car. I was afraid of a scratch or a chip or soccer mom on the cell phone plowing into it- so it was trailered for the last year or so. Sold it a few months ago. Won over 200 awards- including Super Chevy 4 years in a row. It's not just a pretty face- it will run the number to the tune of 11.18 @ 128 on the motor.

 

Here's afew more bro.....I have her in pieces right now getting ready to paint, redo chassis and motor for next year.

The orange pick up is a real Nomad with the roof hacked away. Both are 4 speed Muncie cars.

btw... i'm gonna be makin this 55 a mild custom, and i wanted to do a custom grille like the one on that green and red wagon, how exactly do i go about making one like that or similar?
