Well got a lil work done this weekend. got the frame rolling, now i can roll it in and out of the garage, got the Cowl set, body sub rails bolted and tacked, mock up engine and trany mounted, and got the passenger side a piller hidden hinges installed. more later...

Looks like you have a great project going there.... Ya just can't beat an A on '32 rails. Hell of a nice garage, too! It almost looks like a surgical laboratory, being so clean, with the nice floor and white cabinets. Malcolm
No fenders, HIGHBOY!!, Lil progress made last weekend, then all hell broke loose, was setting the doors on the cowl and noticed the doors wernt setting flush with the bottom of the body subframe, so took everything back apart and may have to pinch the rails a lil to get a bit of a channel , kinda like the 32's are, saw Rolfs post and thats kinda what promped me to do this at this point...once i get this figured out I'll post some more pics
little update: got the gas tank welded in and ground: hidden hinges installed on doors and hung: rear quarters patched: Back corners patched: whew decided to toss a lil mud at the cowl: waiting for top wood to come in to shore up the top before i put the tubs in the rear wells... if it looks like i hacked it, its probly cause i did...1st build and all, seems like every panel i put in gets better and better more Later, Dave L.

Lookin good even witt he IFS hehehe. I was thinking bout IFS I had the op to get a mustang II front end, but decided dropped axle was for me instead. Anyhow, WTF are these cool little clamps you got here in this pic??
yup I thought so too, I just thought it was a damn cool Idea, I wasnt sure if it was something he made or bought. I like how it keeps it all lined up, seems to give a little strength to it, instead of a really small holding point it gets a good sized area with each one. . Cool for sure..

Wow cool I have nto seen them at our horrible freight, but I will be going by tomorrow to check it out. How was the gap between the 2 parts of metal, it looks like it it jsut right to me. But how was it for you? It was not too far apart was it? Thanks Will
There's a tech thread about making your own clamps. I did about 2 dozen for $8. I split a piece of aluminum tubing, drilled holes 1" apart, cut between the holes, added slotted head bolts with a tab (piece of steel band) welded in the slot, and punch a hole for a nail in the tab. Voted MVP 2007 in my garage.
Thats a good Idea as well. I was thinking how I could make something, I know I can get some aluminum channeling that would be light weight and work too with a piece of flat stock behind it. I'll go for a drive tomorrow and see what I come up with . thanks for the tips guys
got a little more done on the sedan: top wood kit installed and rolled it outside to clean garage. and got the front floor started: did mock up for Trans Hump: and trans unit made, just need to weld in gaining on it... thanks for looking, Dave L.
why weld the tunnel in it could be difficult to get the shifter out if you do that just seam seal it and a few screws tk

Little more progress: Decided to pick up some clico's to help in this step, man, I'm glad i did! Installing rear tubs. Clamped in place Trimmed and Camped Completed: Should have plenty of room for tires now. Got rid of the hood mount area on the cowl, (going hoodless) kinda smoothed it out: Thanks for looking, Dave L.
