Looks to me like a transport from an amusment park like Mouse World used in the way back to get you from thre parking lot to the park. They pulled trailers with 10 or so rows of people in tandom or tripple set ups

a 3 wheeled float puller custom made out of 1940s cars??? wouldnt they just make there own stuff back then? otherwise the auto companys would prolly get pissed that theres another company using there stuff?
i cant find anything else i know besides the steering wheel but that looks to me like a late 40s chevy truck wheel with the top cut off. the fenders look like a 1940 or 41 something. just how the headlights come out of the fender just slightly. the buicks had a little piece of trim behind the light like that too. im sure someone can point out the gauges too.

Why don't you just knock on the owners door and ask? Or maybe a neighbor knows.

  6. Does that axle and diff go with it?

I'm guessing this was driven by 'show people' at work. A clown car.

Rear steering. Battery and electric motor powered at the front, to clear the deck for personnel. I'll bet they could get that rear end whipping 'round and 'round. Gotta wonder if the star-shaped ornament on the front spun around, too.

That's the fat fendered roadster our ice cream street vendor used back in the mid 50's. The last we heard, it disappeared the day someone reported a flying dish or saucer spaceship contraption. You remember... the saucer that was surrounded with a million flashing L.E.D.s

I'll tell him a HAMBer found it. Thanks for recovering the vehicle. Amidst 110 degree weather, a cool treat would hit the spot right about now.

The rear is stationary, it steers in the front hence the column running at an angle to the front.

  9. I'm liking the weinermobile version of the story.

Maybe an earlier model of this one:

    Or maybe a knock-off wannabe.

Maybe something from the State Fair food court.

It's a three wheeled float custom made to transport Miss Northeast Oklahoma 1951 at Muskogeerama - the 50th anniversary of the city of Muskogee.

It was called the Muskogeemobile, was red with a canvas phaeton top, and powered by a blown Pontiac. It was buried as a time capsule and this is what's left...

I wonder if this is the car that old song was written about. Where the guy worked in several car factories and took parts home at night to build his Chevyfraseroldsmolacakaiserlincobaker?

  16. If you fill the centre section in with a 10 foot high staircase it will get you up into an old DC3 passenger plane.

It's an original Zamboni. They used them all the time in the 40's on strictly competition skating rinks. Uhhh..... yeah, that's what it is!

Tatra Grand Prix car, built for the 1939 season that never happened...the car that would have put Auto Union and Benz back on the trailers had to be hidden in a gigantic vat of Pilsner as Hitler's armies rolled in; occupying soldiers complained of the oily taste of Czech beer, but never thought to look for the reason...
Smuggled out with aid of US 4th armored div in Pilsen, spring of '45, just before whole shebang was occupied by Russians. Lost til now!
