Well, I missed the meet and greet due to my daughter coming down with the flu on our way up there from STL, but my kind wife let me go and enjoy the show. a couple of hamber's rides: coolest wagon ever imho:
Great pic's, that black 40 coupe has a beautiful copper and white pearl interior. I had to stick my head in it everytime I walked by. I think that Mercury wagon had to be one of the best cars there. Gary
Thanks for the pics man, sorry I ruined the shot of our '59's by leaving my door open. What a great show! The merc wagon was definately one of if not the coolest things there. There was only one rib across the roof of the car and it looked good in person. The finishing details were amazing. The '40 coupe with the copper wheels (Roadstar's old ride) was quite possibly my favorite thing at the show and all the way from California. It was good meeting everyone, completely forgot about the meet and greet until it was too late, maybe next year (think I said that last year). Mootz
This is NOT my car, several folks have asked me about it. It is a TRAILER QUEEN from Illinois. It is the same color though but it is a 51. That black coupe used to belong to Roadstar here on the board. It is a bitichin car. BB
Just rolled in a few minutes ago! i had a blast, caught up with my O'l buddy Bob K, seen Corn Fed sevarl times but never hooked up and I too missed the meet and greet, as I was too busy cruising the grounds. we planned to leave early this morning, but my dad won the Cool Comercial award so we had to stay untill the end. But dad was really stoked!! I had my rusty 29 there. All in all a great time barring trying to get in and leave on sat. Later, Rusty.
I didn't think you would mess up your car with those ugly headlights and hubcaps Bob, or remove your HAMB plate. I big sigh of relief!
I'm surprised nobody mentioned it yet, but the Roadstar (killer) black '40 coupe is now owned by Mr. Goodguys Gary Meadors.... Thanks for posting the great pictures. It was cool to meet everyone and I had a great time hanging out with Cale (Knuckle) and Josh (Mootz). Love their Chevys - especially Cale's wagon. I'm sure I'll see a bunch of you guys at the Drags!! Malcolm
cool pics! All the gasser cars there were HAMBERS! Jim your 56 chevy gasser was awesome, so was your buddies 55 409. You left me Yellow with envy, if you know what I mean! Maybe we will see our gassers on Car Crazy someday.
thanks for the compliments on the pics. mootz, sorry i didn't introduce myself to you, i did speak to cale though. and mootz, leave the elky as is, it simply is perfect in the condition it is now. i had a great time other than my daughters health issues . we'll be back next year for sure. hopefully we'll have a ride by then.
The merc wagon belongs to Dave Doleman out of Verdon ne. Thats not a rib in the roof, its stepped. I beleive he won low lid.
AMEN! I thought for a min. that this was what you did after the accident, I am glad to hear its not. those headlight rings should be removed from existence.
I had a great time chatting with this weekend and it was cool seeing Big Schwag interviewing you at your car, that yellow '55 of yours is sweet, let me know if you see a link on Car Crazy. Lot's of nice cars there this weekend and man was it HOT!! I'll post my pics later.
thanks for the pics, they are great!! Makes me miss making the trip. Hopefull see most of you guys in MoKan.
