I missed the L.A. Roadster show this year. It was a show that I really wanted to attend simply because so many cars that I was interested in were going to be debuting...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Don does have a good eye for cars. Not only does he shoot almost every one of 'em, but he's a cool, low key feller as well. Owns some nice iron too.
Don is one of the nicest guys around besides being a great photographer. Going to Don's site to see pictures from a show is the next best thing to being there. Thanks for all the great pics Don!
I look forward to seeing his coverage of all the west coast stuff I may not ever get to see. Oh, and his homepage logo is fan-frickin-tastic! Oh and it's nice to see this one again
Ryan, you're right about something: I have been under a Honda lately, and I hadn't heard about Don's page until now. Thanks for the heads-up! I'm going to go check it out here................
Don's page has always been great....and Ryan, you picked my pick for the best car in the whole batch of photos....killer fivewind'r!!!
Had to look again and you are right! Look at the car next to it as well, hope it did not get thrown up onto the body work... P.
Wow, looks like a great show! I'm planning on next year for sure! That blue 57 Chevy gasser pic reminds me of Bill The Cat from Bloom County!
It is hard as hell to get clear shots of the one car you really like, and for him to gt all those shots with out people walking by or looking at the car is no small task. Don must have the patients of a saint, Pomona is wall to wall at times . Useless
I agree with all...great complete coverage, and nary a person blocking the shots; very difficult to do. Great work Don! I'd like to go to this event someday. Hey Don, I know you have your hands full with just shooting the complete car, but I'd love to see more engine compartments! Thanks for posting these.
There's guys that never fail at great event coverage.... Don and Boones. They have a great eye for variety. Don's site is great to catch what's going on at a lot of good events. And yes it's good to see the old RPU out and about. Clark
I was there as well and I didnt see half the cars he photographed. My nomad was running hot Saturday so I only made it out for sunday. I must have missed some of the cars because I swear some of those were not there. great coverage and neat "no extra stuff" webpage.
I've always considered Don's website one of the best for event coverage...I never miss checking out what's new...it's perfect as always! Thanks
Thanks for all the comments and for the plug, Ryan. Every once in a while I think about shutting down the site and giving the camera (and my feet) a rest. But then I think about all the cool people I've met because of the site and how much people appreciate seeing photos of a bunch of cars at events they can't get to and I have to keep it going. Thanks again, it's good to know that the time and effort is appreciated.
Plus he's so dreamy......... Great job as usual Don and it was wonderful seeing you and your lovely wife in Paso. I'll see you on the Salt in Aug.
Don. Thanks! As crazy as it may sound, I can't always make it to the cool car shows around SoCal. Plus, when I do go, you capture everything and then some. Ken
That coupe is a nice homage to Hal Baglin who ran that car at Bonneville in the early 50's. He's a great guy and still owns and drives some pretty cool iron. Here's the original.
