Its Junior Conway's brothers 52-4? Merc... extremely low car. I will see if I have another photo of it. (I forgot his first name... will come to me...)

I have seen a photo with the Merc car in the background on teh right sthis weekend.
i think its in one of the Barris books, but I cant remember which car was in the foreground.... I dont have my books here at work, so I cant check them.

 

Pretty sure it's the Ron Dragoo car, and I thought it was a Barris build. It's also in the 52-54 Merc thread.

 

Right the car in the photo is the Ron Dragoo Mercury... but the question is which car is the rear quarter showing on the right of the photo!

 

Oops. Misunderstood what was being asked. Can't help with the other car.

 

Herb Conway's Merc...

I found the photo I was looking for.

Tom Hocker stands on the left. This is all I have on the SUPER low Merc from Herb, somebody else got more photos? Not sure if it ever was featured in any of the magazines...

Here's one of the few magazine shots of Herb's '54, taken from the 1957 Custom Cars Annual.

Herb's car had very little body work done but looked great with just radical lowering and some Jefferies striping.
