check this out found it at the local scrap yard. 50's - 60's motorized kid's Army tank. The guy that owns the yard won't sell, but it's neat as hell. I've never seen one before. Any one know anything about these.

Looks home made. The rear sprockets look like reel sprockets off an old IH combine.

No, don't think it's homemade. The quality of the build is professional. If it is home made the guy spent alot of money and was extremely talented. I found out a Dr. bought it for his kid yrs ago. Don't know who bought his place after he passed but took this out of the garage and scrapped it.The scrap yard owner don't like giving private info. It does have working tracks. I have 18 pics of it in Photobucket if anyone is intrested.

Imagine being 7 years old and owning a treasure like that. King Shit!! A freind who's Dad owned a Chevy dealership in the 50's had a '54 Corvette peddlecar to play with when he was small. He can remember the garbage truck picking it up when he outgrew it.

The last Caterpiller like that I saw that was for sale was at Carlisle, rusted all to hell, for $3000. There's an equipment dealer close to here that has one mounted on a pole in front of his shop.
