    Thought I would give a sneak peak at the Merc that I have been working on for awhile, This is the original that Sam did in dark green,

  6. For me, it'd be a toss up between Sam's merc and the Hirohata merc. I'm not sure which one is my favorite. I lean more towards Sam's. Darryl, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this project. Beautiful.

    Thank You, its been a long time coming,

    Its was supposed to debut in Austin, didn't make it, we are shootin for Paso

    if everything falls into place, and yep it will sit alot lower when done

    The plan is to have the Ala Kart done to debut at GNRS in 08, with the Merc.

    i just read in the rodders journal that it might make the roundup, thought that I missed it. I never would have forgave myself if I missed it. I really hope to more soon.

    I thought the Ala-Kart was already under restoration at some shop maybe 5 years ago? Didn't it burn in a fire? What's the real story. Would love to hear more about that, one of the best hotrods ever built.

    Merc looks nice too. Any pics of that back in the day? Not sure that I've ever seen it before.

    WOW... great to see it back in its original color.

    Thank you for sharing the photo's. We custom enthusiats have been looking foreward to see Sam's Mercury beeing restored for a long time....

    It must be so great to be able to work on these fantastic historic customs.

    Keep them coming when you proceed with the final details...

    This is the holy grail of all customized -49-51 Mercs .

    Great To See The Car Coming Back, I Lived Next To Tommys Garage For 8 Years, Seeing The Car Setting Outside For Years In Sad Shape, Then Setting In My Friends Garage For Another Few Years Torn Apart. Great Work, Great Kustom!!

    Any info on the Ala Kart? I remember seeing some pics of the original some time ago. I thought at that time, someone was starting the restoration.
