danny, nice work, you certainly are a detail expert. what style will the brother to this be. thanks. Al.
What's that color? Dang, I'd like that when I update my turquoise 56 chebe truck! Well done, I like it!
...I'll bet Dale is tickled...there was a deuce roadster parked next to you in some of the pics at LSR. It was flat black with some unique wheels and tires...what sizes and brands?
i designed all of the brackets on my autocad program and then i had them waterjet cut.after that i rounded the edges by hand.i am very pleased with the way they turned out,and i'm glad you like them too. -danny
yes dale is very excited about his car. the wheels are reworked plymoth wheels.they are 16 and 18.the tires are excelsior racing tires.they are 550-16 and 700-18.hope this helps. -danny
glad you like it. the new car will have some of the same vibe, and parts.it will have the same motor and trans, and front end.the differences will be in the details.this car will have modern disk brakes with custom brackets, polished winters quickchange, slightly different hairpins and ladderbars.this car will also have a black frame, firewall, and gastank, but the body will be 47 ford maroon. i'll have buildup pictures soon. -danny
Reworked is an understatement. Ask the owner about the wheel construction saga. He swears he wouldn't do it again. Sorry I missed you Dan. I hung around Friday night as long as possible before heading back to the sailboat races in Houston. Your dad told me you were on your way.
This car should have had special parking at the show. You just dont see all of it unless it is out there making you stare at it. Unless you followed the thread of the build and then the final days of the thrash you just would not know what Danny pulled off. This car is awesome and the motor sounded great, The only knock I have is the valve covers. Other than that I would love to have been cruising in it all weekend. GOOD JOB DANNY!!!!! Rusty
don't worry.changing the valve covers,is in the works. thanks rusty.your car looked killer too. -danny
