I am speaking ore of the 1 ton and bigger trucks. Wether they were turnd into flatbeds, car haulers or whatever. Lets see some pics if anyone has any as well.
I building a 40 GMC COE..........ford wide fives.....31 Model A rear end..cadillac flathead V8 mid engine....chopped and dropped......but I can't post pics......I'm only in the day dreaming stages right now. I have all the wide 5 stuff the rear end and the cab I'm looking for an early caddi v8..this should be a pretty cool ol truck..
Here's mine just after I got it home. It wont be rodded as it is. Been stripped and the cowl etc will go into a little pick up. Man the chassis was REALLY REALLY heavy as were all the other pieces that came off it. Nearly dropped the chassis on me on the weekend too - very lucky.
We were looking for one of those forever. Found one just south of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Then the deal fell through. Plan was to narrow the cab and make the split rear windows 1 bigger window. Anyway, here's my current InDaWorx's

I have a '29AA that started life as a 2 1/4 ton. It is a 1 1/2 ton now. Would post pic's, just do not know how. Anycase I have owned the old funky truck (OFT) for nearly 40 years. Spec's now are 454 BBC, TH400 (put in in 1975 rebuilt in 2005). '32 fat beam offset drilled to take '58 Chevy 38 series king pins. Home brew disk brake kit for front using 4x4 front rotors and cailbers. Hubs drilled out to take 9/16 studs. Rear is a corp 14 bolt C&C (cab and chassis) with a blackbird custom rear disk kit. Rear springs are the '58 Chev 38 with overloads taken off. Uses 1500lb air springs instead. Much more done, but you get the idea. I tow a 37' 5th wheel RV (yep, it is a big-un, over 10,000lbs). Earl

You need to fabricate it. That is what egg man did. Several cabs and a ton of talent. His work is phenomenal.
Damn Old Beet, I havent heard that name since the Early 80's when he put on a show at the tire shop in Auburn. Thanks I wanted to be a truck driver for about 6mo after that.
Here is my latest project, I got a 292 installed and now I am working on the 4 bar and air bag suspension. Jman I have found that most of the truck brake and suspension parts are around, for popular makes. Most trucks have a 34 inch wide frame and are a EZ frame swap. My dad is swapping a 54 Ford COE onto a motor home chassis.
One of my Projects... A Bit NEW but the square cab gives it a Traditional look. Building a 4 link rear suspension, adding Super Single rear tire and wheels, 5 speed Trans, building it to go Drag Racing.
I'm changing out the suspension under my Dubble A and going with converting '42-'46 front spindles (and discs) and a later model Ford 9" rear with parallel leaf springs. I'm still going to do a custom wooden dump flatbed on it, but it'll be just for shits and giggles. The rest of the truck is going to be a blast. Here's a picture of my Dubble A and my '29 RPU.
Mine started life as an 1 1/2 ton oil field truck in San Marcus. It had a flatbed and dual wheel axle..
I've posted this before but here's my project, a 34 International 2 ton truck. The back of this thing was so heavy I had to cut it off just to keep from blowing out the tires on the trailer. The frame was a lot heavier so I plan to make a 2X4 box frame but the cab, grille, etc. are the same as a pickup, which is what I am going to make it into. I am planning to use brakes from a late 40s ford or if I can find some Buick parts (I'm new at this so I'm not the best resource). I have a whole bunch of late 50s Alfa Romeos that have these huge finned aluminum drums on them that may work (I was going to investigate that later after I get further into the project). Anyhow, I have no plans to use the ones that came on the truck, they are too big. I think there are quite a few of these around.
