Click here to see the ultimate dream junkyard that is for sale as a unit: I got the link from the new Hemmings I got in the mail today. http://www.oliverscars.com/gallery.html You won't believe your eyes. It takes a while to load because it is big.
Why would there ever be a need for fibreglass cars???? More coupes than you can shake a stick at! My grandmother would have said that.....
And there are guy's who don't think there's tin left... That place is unreal! There's enough there to keep a good number of us busy for a while! Tony.
How Much They Askin? Who Wants To Go In On This? We Have Enough Peaple On This Board To Get Some Funds Together And Buy This Shit. Then We Can Divvy Up The Tin And Build A Drag Strip On The Property. We Get Some Vintage Rides, And Make Some Money Back. I Just Thought That Up Right Now, Im A Fuckin Rocket Scientist. Why Am I Always Broke?
I liked the deuce 5 window hiding in the background of one of the fender stack shots. Don't know who else saw that one. 14th row down, sixth from the end. So many great cars in that bunch. Saw some back fenders I could really use. BR
Oh man, this is definitely a double WOW! I just finished going through all of those pictures & it was worth it. I am so glad that you posted them on here. If I won a lottery this would be the place to buy! I saw some that had definite possibilities in there. No doubt about it. Thanks Again.
The ad only says that it is in Oklahoma. It also says that serious offers considered on the entire collection only. 40 acre parcel may be included. Newly constructed warehouse filled with parts, many in original boxes. Drives you crazy, doesn't it?
Translation : I'm going to sit and fish for high prices until someone offers me a mega-shitload of cash for all my junk. Definitely some cool shit there but who'd want to buy it all? I say a big ass auction to clean the place out and then sell the property would be the way to go but I dont' think this guy really wants to sell, he wants to fish for big cash. Neat shit though, that '38 Ford coupe looks real buildable.
how does something like that go so long without being picked over looks like some good cars and some beat to hell cars all I want is the 38 delively thats a same that someone rear ended that zef
depends on what the EPA has to say about the property, he's probably getting heat to clean it up, even in the middle of nowhere OK. great find though, you could ebay for years, even after the H.A.M.B. members pick what they want
That's what I'd buy if I won the lottery and then I'd open up on weekends for Hambers and sell em parts for $1 each.
Wasnt this posted on before as a yard that was closing and selling off everything? Heres the link to the old post http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142705&highlight=oklahoma+junkyard I think I want to cry a 37 zephyr and a 38 zephyr four doors but good for parts. Any body got info on this place? LTR Dave
The home page says the grandfather bought an existing yard in '46. He then added inventory for ten years and then shut the gates and sat on it until he recently died.
Wow, that place has some great stuff left just sitting there. The guy is sitting on a goldmine and is selling it all.
If I understand it correctly, it is in Stuart, Oklahoma. I'm not sure though, but just a clue or two in the listing tells me. *IF* it is stuart, it is about 20-30 minutes West of McAlester, Ok, which is also about 2 1/2 hours South of Tulsa near where HWYs 69 and 75 meet. Probably about 2 hours Northeast of Dallas. About 2 hard hours West and South of Ft. Smith. This is *ONLY* if Stuart is the location of the yard.
