I bought it from a guy in El Segundo about a year or so ago, has a 59A with all the obligitory speed equipment. Past owners have claimed that it was Chuck Potvin's car that ran at El Mirage in 47 and 48. I bought it primarly because it was a beautifuly over-restored roadster and my two boys liked it...I guess I'll have to buy another one before I drop dead someday so they won't have to fight over it. I take 6 meds every morning and 1 at night. Its not cause im fucking crazy though its for my recent heart attack. They dont make meds for my other problem i dont guess. Peace.. Dave
Glad you LOVE IT ... I was not freaking out ... the others were ... bitching, moaning and not going by the request for photos of Deuces ... not a request for a bunch of O/T comments ... I just explained the FUN we were and are having ... cause you never see me talk bad about other folks projects ... or complain about how I cannot find a decent 49 Mercury coupe in my price range ( so them Mercuries must be JUNK ) ... or how so many of these so called projects will never see the road ... under their own power. It's a tricycle at the moment rolling on three big casters, but here it is so far. I'll be putting the front and rear suspension on it pretty soon. 4-1/2" chop, 6" channel, all steel, 100% homebuilt.
If you need more for the club, I'll take a drive around my neighborhood and grab a couple....Any takers for the ones I don't want???? Roadsters are cheap this time of year in michigan.

IM IN! i almost forgot about this 'old' bone since it didnt seem to get driven this year at all & it has a new battery in it. havent posted a pic of this in awhile. this is EXACTLY as it was found & pulled out of a shed, except for the dust & dirt which was washed off. 2 carbs added now & still cruising on the 'WARDS' bias super wide tires. Montgomery wards that is. ------- who was it that said there were 2 kinds of people: those who own deuces & those who wish they owned deuces?! ------- there is a NEW HAMB model 40 club (33-34 fords) also look for it & join!

Here is mine. It has been fun to build and fun to drive. Changes to be made over the winter, a set of solid steel wheels, add louvered hood side panels and move the headlights forward and in.
I had a 55 chevy and no one would be my friend so I traded it for this truck thinking 32's were cool , I jumped in it and drove to the hot rod reunion a few years ago thinking I will have lots and lots and lots of friends but nothing now I'm buying a 5 window with big HOPES Please be my friend I'm running out of money
