Needs to get it back in the garage. There's a frog strangler of a storm (at least by CA standards) coming to the bay area and then south to SoCal. No beach weather for a while.

I'm jealous We have snow, wind, single digit weather....and our highway department gets over zealous applying salt/cinders on the roadway...that's an asphalt roadway at the bottom of my drive. You couldn't tell for all the salt and cinders... IMG_20230217_112402665_HDR.jpg

You could have left it at the beach & allowed the elements finish reclaiming it .

    Funny you should mention snow.

The temperature just dropped, and if we have any downdrafts, we might see snow flurries in San Francisco.

Snow on the taller coastal mountains has been predicted (but that is not all that unusual, they're pretty tall).

Yup. He's a solid dude, too!

Worth going the extra mile to meet and chat with him, should you have the opportunity.

It's only 49º at the beach today, and the wind it picking up!

    Trade you!
We are covered with ice, 30-32 degrees and rain all day, supposed to quit the freezing rain sometime tomorrow morning. Even being heavily salted, everything but the main roads were like ice skating rinks be 3pm this afternoon, I suspect even the main roads are bad by now. I can see a State highway from my window, not much traffic moving out there.

What a bunch of winers! This is my street & we still got 2 months of winter before it even starts to melt! 9ft so far this year & starting to snow again. 6" to 10" possible tomorrow before it quits! thumbnail_image000000 (6).jpg

And that would be one of many reasons I don't live in Alaska.

Yep, guilty as charged! I'm a whinner.

Last night's ice is pretty much gone, but temps are suppose to drop into the low tens tonight and tomorrow's high is mid 20s.

I've not been to SF area in CA, I used to think I'd like to visit there, and northern CA too, but those days may be well gone now. I've been to southern CA 4 times, the last couple times was enough of that too.

I kind of like where I am, I like having 4 seasons, just wish we wouldn't get 3 of the 4 the same week. Lately, the first part of the week has been in the 50s (each week gets closer to 60), but we have had storms 3 of the last 4 Thursdays, this weeks storm was Wednesday instead of Thursday. Fridays have been cold, highs in the teens and low 20s, and the weekends start warming back up. The good news is Spring is coming, only about a month away.

The closest thing we have to a beach is about 2' of small pebbles along the edge of a river in a few places, or a man made beach.
