Thanks Gents! Its getting a Frontenac "T" head, compression ratio is at 7:5 to 1 (stock is 4 to 1), it has a Stipe reproduction Roof .312" cam in it, Stipe Machine adjustable timing gear, Model A crankshaft and rods (so it's a stroker for a T), Ross Custom pistons, and a WHOLE lot of oiling mods to hopefully keep the bottom end happy. The head is getting all sorts of lightweight parts too. Keep it as light and balanced as possible, keeps the engine happy.

  2. nice T engine what transmission are you planning on using ??
I was running a 26 T with a model a crank and rods ,with the original transmission .
Even with the crank and rod modification ,made a huge difference .
Engine developed an imbalance and I removed it but haven't dug into it .
I suspect the center main to be suspect ,but who knows , someday I will dig into it .
Nice engine again and good luck with it !!!!

Two more of these, soon ready to use, engines on stands. My brothers 389 Pontiac for his -66 GTO and my sons Dodge 440 for his -66 Charger but he is in the middle of familybuilding so this engin can wait for a while. 04761722-255A-4E11-ADD6-A085E57BF5FC.jpeg

  5. I got a small block that I screwed together in '98 that is waiting for another body to posses. I think that the next body will be about number 7. LOL

In one of my post I have a flathead with efi on it. I tried to remove that picture but only managed to make it smaller. How do I remove just a picture from a post?

I don't have anything old, just a couple 454s. One has a pair of really early 396 heads on it. The other is the LS-7 crate engine, with lots and lots of miles on it, mostly with a blower.

What did I miss? What did I miss?
I guess I'm not done yet. Here's the 425 Buick that currently resides in my '33 pickup. I've been seriously considering using the 392 Hemi from my previous post instead of the Buick. Both are runners, but I'll have to buy some water pump/timing cover stuff for the Hemi. Buick's ready to go.

I might be interested in the intake if it ain't busted up too bad and the price is right. :)

  22. @427 sleeper - please check the pic, the alternator ear in front is busted off. That matters to a 'Vette guy, but could be fixed if a driver's side mount was needed[IMG]

  24. Lloyd, the VCs are crappy, I removed the drippers. They'e about as ugly as the balancer on your 454. Do you need a 750 DP?

Don't downgrade your 59 ranchers with a 302. Upgrade with the 312. You've got it. Use it. Junk the 302. There is no benefit in that over the 312.

Forget the generic sbc. Put the cool 413 in something.
