@pennafxu I have missed this thread till now, & have just read right through. I love your attitude, to the projects you are happy to take on, to the way you seek advise & humbly take it on where needed also to your giving through your job. May the HAMB continue to be a place of rest & recharge. I'm looking forward to seeing this one progress
Always liked top chop hot rods!! I even bought one.................Thanks, I really enjoy this thread...........
I milled and precision ground my surface plates for my precision welding table. Run out is .0005 so excited about that. More to follow on that. Jumping ahead though @alchemy I want to run wide fives and have read a lot about them here. I would like to get your final consultation on the width debate and bigs and littles. It's confusing to me with the drum/plate adapter.
I really appreciate your comment man. I was thinking of posting for a while as my life and HAMB activity were stagnating so I decided to document my Precision table/jig build to get the proverbial ball rolling! I hope to use Seigmund tooling accessories to lock in the welding jig dimensions following the Westcott diagram.
The quarters are different where they meet the roof line. need some mods, but that all thats available
I've not done it, so I can not say exactly what it takes. My avatar 34 has one on one side. Also, 33 style with no crows feet is all that is being made
It’s a great time to fine tune the door fitment. Place the cowl, then the door, then you can shorten the quarter to match.
Right there with you, Penna! (Immersed in 4 flatheads as we speak, 2 are derelict) Mark Codd is a good friend of mine, I assisted with a little of his '34 sedan-to-coupe project 4 years back. Hence: The familiarity of this thread. Great reading. Keep it up!
I may have missed it but have you done a body mock up yet? I've only seen the doors and they were 5W doors
I can make a template for you from my 3 window coupe, which will assist you in modifying the SAR quarter panels for use in building the 3 window coupe body. I can make the template from paper and mail it to you, if you’d like.
