I copied this pic from the HAMB Facebook page. Its a Mooneyes show in Yokohama Japan. Can anyone here explain how this paint job is done? It looks like tooled steel to me. I have never seen anything like it. Really cool in my opinion. Even the bumpers have the effect done to them.
I think it was explained as they heavily primered the car and then did the engraving in that and then shot it with a bright silver. The bumpers and trim do look like they are engraved though.
That would be so nice if you were to take all that crap off it. When I was a kid that was a dream car..

There is an older You Tube video on how the painter, Izawa Art Design did the paint job. Very tedious project, but fantastic results. Mick
