    639AF23A-F0F4-443B-ACBA-2BB3EA60203E.jpeg Heres my 51 coupe.

My plans for the winter is:
-Change the 1950 235 for a later hopped up 235 with fenton headers and 848 head. Need to find a dual carb intake to match.
-Smooth the bumpers, do a hood ornament delete, remove the powerglide badge on the trunk.
-New 670-15 whites with the 3.1/4 whiteside.
-Want a set of 51-53 olds hubcaps or open for ideas. Let me know what could be cool.

    Other than that, super cool.

  2. Nice looking ride! It looks good without rear 1/4 trim ( which is very hard to find anyway)

If by any chance someone sits on a warehouse full of cool 15 inch hubcaps Im open for ideas. Have my eyes set on the 50s olds ones, the sombrero like ones with the crest in the center. But open for others.

Hey Lars, just a couple ideas..... Back in the early 60's, I had a '52 Chevy convert and installed '53 Packard taillights. I say installed, as there was no mod's required, and they accented the vertical portion of the fenders wonderfully. 51 Sloper 001.jpg

I have looked into that myself, but if i want to change the taillights i would go all in and do 53 kaisers. Probably my fave taillights ever.

That really is a nice coupe. Sometimes less is more and you have a good plan as going too far with the coupe can be a mistake. If you come across a Tattersfield intake, jump on it! It is probably the best flowing dual intake for the inline. I know some would frown upon my next suggestion, but, an HEI ignition was the best thing I ever did for my 52 with a 54, 235. The mini S-10 distributor with the correct cam gear looks just fine and has never failed me. I got mine from Tom Langdon. He may not be doing them anymore but I have to believe someone else is.

I have everything i need for the new engine rebuild now but missing a dual carb intake and carbs. Thinkin about a set of 32/36 webers from Langdon. But the intake i have no ideas for yet. Fenton? Offenhauser?
    Anybody here got one used?

I have to ask, what four letter word required scratching out to avoid offending young impressionable minds?
