History Vintage Hot Rod Shows....picture thread.

I remember that show, and the shock. But, what I always look at is the background cars. In this case its Chuck Tatum' s GMC special. I had the pleasure of meeting Chuck in about 2010. I did not realize that he was a decorated WWII vet, but I do know that he was an amazing guy. I also had the pleasure of racing with the "Tatum Special" on several occasions. It is still racing today, in the hands of another good friend.
Where have all the Hero's gone !!

 

Another background catch... My good friend, Frank Livingston's first Chevy sloper. I always thought it was his best.....

 

I think about Joe Wilhelm every time I walk into my storage building. I managed to save this sign from the junk heap, when helping Marion Wilhelm move out of a storage unit in Northshore Tahoe.... It is the sign from Joe's shop in San Jose...
