    Checking in.

No news - we are experiencing unseasonal rain here. The east coast of Australia has suffered enormously due to flooding. Too wet to take the coupe out, too cold to be out in the shed for long periods, so I'm sourcing parts for thr next update for the car.

    More on that later

I had to fix a crack in the deck that was causing me grief with my pickup. Got it back together with an intake I picked up a while back. I think the manifold was manufactured the same place my alum. Winfield head was heheh. Required some grinding and welding to fit correctly, but runs great! Fabbed a linkage to jog around the exhaust as it mounts the carb outward from my other intakes, but it's low so it fuels easily right down til you run the tank out of gas... 15. Quote from Fur Biscuit October Bangers Meeting:

"Of the many things that have been a mental hang up for me on getting going with the T has been a camshaft. I just don't feel a like a race car or speedster should have a stock off the shelf cam. So I've been trying to get a model A camshaft modified for a T block. And basically it's been impossible. Mentally I've been trying to psych myself up to pay a lot of money to have a full custom camshaft made. So, the day after I send my email that I'm gonna pull the trigger on a full custom cam, the guy I have been chasing off and on for 5 years, let's me know the model A cam I have been asking about is mostly done and maybe ready to be shipped to the cam grinder! When it rains, it pours!"

    Doug.
Neilson is right. Once you get a "Blank" cam (not reground, including the journals); I think you might want to contact Elgin Engineering in Petaluma. Dema Elgin is now retired; but his former shop foreman is still in charge. Over the years they've amasses a ton of data of just about every cam ever made. Dema, of course had been close friend and disciple of Ed Winfield. Elgin set up his shop to deliver valve timing to the customer; crafted to the customer's needs including the vehicle, it's engine and use. They'll ask you everything except the size of your Jock Strap!

Checking in for the month. Progress has been painfully slow but colder temps mean more shop time. Need to get this running by February 814B89BC-EBC4-47C4-B266-541FFE492ECA.JPG for the ice races. engine sealed up and ready to go back in

1913 was the last year for the short rear crossmember. Found the kickup pattern an hour ago while searching for something else. that is progress. Bob

  23. What clutch cover is that? Wonder if it’s available over here? Guess you have to adapt the matching thrust bearing?

I use the Volvo pressure plate and clutch. It comes from sachs as a clutch kit. I use the Volvo through out bearing and machine a carrier to match up with the ford clutch fork. I will try to take a few more picture this time .

Starting to have a great time out here, yesterday I got a "B" long block, pressure tested it , only crack I could find is a small freeze crack on the right side. Today I found a Fish carburetor, haven't owned one of those since about 1963.

Chrysler lifters have a 1.285 diameter base compared to the B lifters with it's 1.120 base.
