Still gathering parts, for the sloper and mowing 6 acres on the Nestucca river. Salmon fishing is slow, no rain.

 

Brass wire cup brush mounted on a drill press at high speed, metal polish, black background paint to highlight letters. Holley 390 cfm with Fenton’s on a 1962 261 ci.

Ha, got a deal on this Saginaw box. Pulled the cover and found this:


so I pulled it all apart and cleaned it in kerosene. Actually turned out well with no obvious damage so I am replacing the seals and will give it a coat of paint and see if I can get it mounted in the '31 this winter.

 

I'm tryin to wrap up my Elco. It was supposed to be a quick and easy project, you know the kind. Well, 33 months later it's still not done and still in my way. The good news is, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm now in the "making dust" stage. It SHOULD have some color on it by Turkey Day.

 

got a bit more done on the Binder...runnin boards next, need to shorten them.

 

Closing on a new property soon and deciding to build or not the 51 after the shutdowns and 3 years later..

I’ll be working on my OT Hot Rod this winter. The plan is to reseal the engine and have a bunch of stuff powder coated, ceramic coated and repainted. It’s been 22 years since I put it together and it needs a little freshening up…

cab painted and set on the frame, glass installed. Kind of tired of body work so I'm going to switch over to chassis stuff, brakes, suspension,steering etc. Plenty to keep me busy now that winter is here.

 

Took an old cast away 65 Impala 12 bolt housing , cut all the brackets off and narrowed it to first gen Camaro width. Added a posi and 373 gears. Now I can stuff it in my 59 Vette project. I didn't do it all in one day but I buttoned it up this afternoon

 

Update, still working on the Elco. Scuffed,washed and taped it off today. Pushed it into my "state of the art" um... Paint booth?!. If the weather cooperates tomorrow, I'll get some lipstick on this pig!

 

I recently helped my brother clean out the attic in my father’s garage ( I’m still sore in places I forgot existed) when it’s all said and done there’ll be a great deal less of it.

 

it's just a sealer, but I'll get the yellow on it in the next couple days. I shot this in between turkey duty.

 

And it feels good to get it to that stage doesn't it?
