Noooooo! Don’t leave us hanging like that. I don’t think that push button switch is going to hold up.

  4. Im trying to consult the book i got with the cream '63 to figure out how the wiring is supposed to go, but the switch and button works, so that's all that matters to me.

  5. Anyway, im counting 5 condensors, two ballast resistors, 2 hot wires and a partridge in a p- walnut tree

Did your true love give that to you? You have the ignition switch out and the lock cylinder is out of that. Why don’t you just plug the switch back in and use a screwdriver or a pair of needle nose pliers and just twist it to crank it.

I figured it would be best if i drained the gas tank before dropping it this time. It must have been a fresh fill up, because the tank is nearly full.

That full tank of gas probably saved that tank. Should be no need to pull it. Just toss in a can of Sea-Foam and a bottle of Sta-Brite Startron from NAPA and try to run her.

  18. I was going a little fast in the rain, the car downshifted when i came out of a turn, kicked the rear end out, i locked the brakes but it was too late and went over a ravine, im hurting, a lot, more physically than mentally because the car is fixable, gonna use hammer and prybar repair, maybe get a radiator. It was beat up and rough to start, sorry for the o/t car pics, feel free to delete if you desire. View attachment 5525753 View attachment 5525752 View attachment 5525759

Sorry to hear that. You need to slow down a bit in bad weather. The p71’s are better in dry weather than wet. Was the tow truck able to pull the seat cushion out of your but?
Remember when you get older you body will once again pay the price for this accident. Atleast the car doesn’t seek too terribly bad. I’m worried now I have to go to Ohio this Friday. Picking up a Gokart in Elyria to rebuild for the niece and nephews.

  23. Im working on it, the tow was 1700 bucks and im working that off cleaning out the garage so it can get paved, ive got the doors working again, the transmission fluid and radiator is good, no clue about the ac condenser. I cleaned the pcv valve as it had poured a bunch of oil into the intake. I need to remove the spark plugs and turn the engine over, aswell as go ahead and change the oil. I need to change my tires around so im on snow tires in the rear and swap out the one with the ruined rim, but i dont even know if i will even have a license. Luckily my bruises are gone now, just a bit of stowing on my left leg and shoulder. The quarter that was mostly bondo needs some metal work, just some notched angle iron to match the fender and to make the door jamb solid again. But i might not have a license again until im 18, so we will see how it goes.

Glad you are ok, the rest is kinda out of your control so try not to worry about the stuff that is out of your hands.

Mom and dad taking it away or a judge? Glad your feeling a little better atleast. The car don’t sound too bad, so that’s good. The condenser should be fine. You got that push bar up front to protect it.

  26. the condenser is bent like a banana, bottom of the core support got a beating from a rock it landed on. and either parents or judge, i dont have anything to drive at the moment anyway.

Oh wow, sorry to hear all that. It will give you more time for the cars though. Did the cops give you a ticket?

  28. Yeah, just failure to control.

Judge won’t take the license for that. May give you driving school though. Mom and dad, now that’s a different story. And expect those insurance rates to go up. You need to make some cop friends.
