I drove 2500 miles round trip and definitely plan to do it again. We had a great time.
In my opinion, Leaving at 8:00 Saturday morning certainly doesn’t make it appear you want the show to be successful. It definitely was busier on Saturday with lots more attendees and show cars, after all that was the “show day”. I think the Swapmeet being spread out was a result of pre sale of the spots over too large of an area. Shrink the reserve spot area and utilize the outside rows as first come available on sale days.

I went out for the 50th and one other, there were never a lot of people, too much area is the reason. Use half the swap meet area and you will see more people. Most of the cars looked like ones that were not there in previous years, that is a good thing.

Most of my pix were shot either during set up day on Thursday, a couple on Friday during the show with the long distance overall pic of the roadster parking, the last 4-5 were actually on tear down. The show chairman and I were basically “putting out fires ” mostly all 3 days of the show so I didn’t get a chance to really take any shots during show unless we stopped the cart for a bit to talk to staffers which is hard to do when dealing with many things that come up during the show. All in all IMHO this was a very good time had by many, Thanx for making it on out.

Thanks for the photos. I'll have to see Limefire in person at some point in my life. Looks great in the photos as does your roadster.

    Uncle Buck,
My plan all along was to head back home on Saturday morning as I have a 350 mile drive to southern
Nevada. It certainly was NOT because I don't want the show to do well. Now that it is a 2 day show,
attendance on Fridays has been quite large. That wasn't the case this year as attendance on Friday was
very low. I haven't been going to this show for 40 years because I don't want it to do well.

    Sincerely,
    CKH

None this year that I knew of. Stokers had an open house on Thursday during the day, not a night time party.

We came in Friday at 10:30 am just to pick vintage steel found enough and had to pass up on the 51 Merc on the trailer I wanted it but I'm not set and organized for it's presence but yes sellers spots were here and there but the quality of vintage steel was pretty good I was able to place orders and exchange phone #s with a few sellers I'll be getting more parts from as the year goes by . We all have to stay networked together this COVID thing and the fuel price situation made for a challenging year . It used to be a line of cars from the freeway along Fairplex Drive . My friend Sammy V ( built Spirit of America has the Lincoln on the trailer in photos ) him and his friends stuck together between Aisles 6 and 7 and wete having a great time . That is the name of the game everyone got to stay sticking together to make this Meet a brighter one next year . It took a grand effort for me to get there and that's just the way it is we all need to set all aside and get up and just go to these shows and meets . We can make it happen successfully together . May I add not bad for a comeback I applaude LA Roadsters and Ken really put an effort at the gate and God be with all those that couldn't be with us at Pomona due to Covid

  26. Yea, I was there all day Saturday also. Parked the Woodie about half way back near the main drive....

  29. I was there Friday and Saturday. Parked with the rest of the ACEScc. Made a couple parade laps. It was great to finally get back out to an event. Now that the Coupe is running again, I can go to more events. Saw so many HAMBers . Irish Mike, Hooves42, Dan, Paul, and many more, that I can't remember they're HAMB name. I thought it was a great show. Friday was a little slow, cause many people were still working. Saturday was prettying good. Lots of people and cars. I'm glad they dropped Sunday. This was a much better deal. I agree with 1oldtimer, they weren't very organized at the gates. Dan....tell your wife, thanks for the cookies!!! I hid them in my Coupe til I got home....
