Have been going to the Roadster show since #2, missed a few for Viet Nam, covid, and the occasional family requirements and other lame reasons. To make this short, this year less Roadsters in the show area, less hot rods in the preferred parking, the swap meet area had some holes, but man was it a good time. Lots of room to get around, no trouble to see what you wanted to see, visit with old, old friends, (some you only know from swap meets), and depending on what you were looking for prices were decent, again depending on what you were looking for.

    PS. Continentaljohn.....no cowl's

He parked right next to me, I thought it was a great truck, but mine is such a jalopy everything looks good next to it! ;) Seriously, I thought it was cool that he parked next to us, the 3 trucks in a row looked cool. Later on a 35 International parked on the other side.

    My haul from yesterday
    20220617_155407.jpg
It was all low priced stuff I couldn't walk away from. The entire year, Jan to Dec of 1959 of Rodding and Re-Styling, 15 bucks. The tools were all 1 buck ea. Same with the switch panel, 4 toggle switches and 2 potentiometers for 1 buck, how could I not buy it? I don't need the Corvette valve covers, but what the heck, I'll polish 'em up and maybe put 'em on the ol' 283. Or not. Maybe they'll sit with the Cal Custom covers I have on a shelf. You never know when you need another set of valve covers for a SBC., right?

This was a package deal, the rolling chassis, set up for flatty V-8, and the 28-29 roadster car both together, with an engine (maybe the one parked behind the chassis) and trans.

I love this photo of this old guy, with his old Ford pickup, and all his old Fold parts he selling, this is the real deal, hot rodding, how it has been done since the beginning, and this guy is still living it. Awesome!

How about this deal? Beautiful 35 5 window coupe, w' McCoullugh supercharger, and I think he said it had a Mitchell OD, for sale - $32k. Come on. I know not many have $32k to spend, but damn, that's a lot of vintage hot rod Ford goodness for the money. I'm thinking of selling both my cars to buy this one. It was sweet.

Yes, here is a stock one. Note the doors differ from the Roadster/Touring. The top of the cowl and windshield post are the only things that interchange. R (3).jpg
