We made it. I really need to rethink that suspension…….Gonna lay down and recover.
The 55 will be like a a Cadillac compared to the Produce Truck.

On our way soon. Should be a great day for a drive and to see some old friends. I am ready to get out among the living.

    Thanks Mick it was a great show as usual! Problem was I did more talking than picture taking! 9AD45EA7-29EF-405E-9D4D-F590F66E6442.jpeg 043BBF34-F573-4EAE-B1DC-9BF26FCE0FF4.jpeg 89737EA2-A165-4718-A158-2A8FA199FB37.jpeg BECE13C1-47D6-4558-A8EC-68C107585F2D.jpeg 90FBC6BD-A4B5-42A7-97D5-A5B8B0440275.jpeg E85143CB-C864-46FA-AC26-67AAA19A0657.jpeg B819E011-3D3B-4AF4-91ED-9F9DAD26B81C.jpeg 9AD45EA7-29EF-405E-9D4D-F590F66E6442.jpeg 043BBF34-F573-4EAE-B1DC-9BF26FCE0FF4.jpeg 89737EA2-A165-4718-A158-2A8FA199FB37.jpeg BECE13C1-47D6-4558-A8EC-68C107585F2D.jpeg 90FBC6BD-A4B5-42A7-97D5-A5B8B0440275.jpeg E85143CB-C864-46FA-AC26-67AAA19A0657.jpeg B819E011-3D3B-4AF4-91ED-9F9DAD26B81C.jpeg

Met some new folks. Finally met @atch and @1stGrumpy . Saw a lot of old friends and acquaintances also. I killed FB 2 years ago and now I can actually ask folks what they have been up to. Lots of good cars and a ton of spectators. Good job Mick. @straykatkustoms

The show was no less than what we've come to expect from Mick; i.e., excellent as usual. He even conjured up great weather also. Which was surprising since every stream/river in southeast Kansas, northeast Oklahoma, and southwest Missouri was flooded.

I finally met Roothawg, guthriesmith, and kustomd. Class acts all. 1stGrumpy and I tried to meet but never were at the same place and time. As usual I also saw several other friends; every one of whom I've met through the H.A.M.B.

Thanx Mick (@straykatkustoms). I'm registered and have my room for next year. See y'all there/then.

@fastcar; plan to go next year. We can convoy down together.

I thought about mentioning the dragsnake but was worried that it might just have been a mirage. I'm not really sure that it exists...

  20. Great meeting you in person Mike! Not sure class act applies to me, but I appreciate the sentiments. Can't wait to see Clarence all back together after it's 666.5 hours of bodywork. It is looking great and I hope to catch up with you at minimum next year at the SK500 again if not some other place down the road this summer. Like you, pretty sure lots of my best friends in life were met right here on the HAMB first. I was also able to meet kustomd although didn't ask him his HAMB name. You helped me out with that one when you told me who he was. See you again soon.

  21. Wow! That was a great bunch of cars. The green 40 pickup and 32 5W ring my bell.
    Thanks for the coverage!

Check out that blue 33 sedan. I've seen lots of 33s/34s without fenders. Nearly all of them seem to be just a little bit off from the firewall forward. Whoever built this thing nailed it. Best looking fenderless treatment I've ever seen.

Thank you for all for the kind words and the HAMBers that spent the weekend with the Kats. We had a great time and it was kool to see a lot of people that I hadn't seen in years. We were sure Blessed to have a purrfect weather....

You have a good eye. This is who won my pick for this year's show. The award usually goes to a Kustom but this Hot Rod was just way too kool. The background info is impressive......

This steel-bodied Tudor sedan was modified in the late 1950s by famed hot rod painter Art Himsl and refurbished in 2002 by Roy Brizio Street Rods. Bodywork was performed by Mickey Galloway, and the car was repainted Royal Blue Poly by Darryl Hollenbeck of Vintage Color Studio in 2002.

If you get the chance be sure to look it over.....

Great to meet you Mike. 1st Grumpy was the guy you met late Friday night with the 56 Ford.

    Where was @kustomd ? I haven't seen him in 15+ years.

  27. I met him Sunday morning when we were doing the blessing of the rides. He was parked in front of Travis’s shop and I helped him stuff some AD truck fenders in the backseat of his 59. :D Not sure I saw his car Saturday although that is likely the case with lots of cars.
