In the past I met a lot cool people on here At oltorf Laquinta today it’s just not safe. Used needles on the ground. Then we bounced to Highlander Motel home of the pink sheep but it was sold and torn down. Trying to find some car people and without $250/nt rates. Since cruising Congress isn’t a thing anymore it doesn’t have to be downtown. Where you staying? Suggestions?
The Drury Inn in North Austin just off 290 and I35 is clean and has secured, gated parking. Lots of LSRU folks stay there. Decent breakfast and rates and easy access to the event site. FYI. Have made reservation already. Fills quickly so don’t wait too long.
Embassy Suites off 290 has rooms. It's about 14 minutes to the Expo Center, 10 minutes to Top Notch Burgers and around 9 minutes to Upper Crust Bakery.
When we attended the Roundup in 2018, we stayed at the Fairfield on the north side, next to the freeway. Nice location. Just don't park under the trees or the Grakels will get you. I found driving toward downtown that driving in the local lanes, below the freeway created much less stress.
we are staying at hampton inn in hutto , close to the meatheads bbq and the fairgrounds and good food
Drury Inn it is. Earlier there was just some suites available now they have rooms with two beds. I always liked that those hotels have a happy hour and decent breakfast. It’s not too far for my dad to get to as well. He lives in north Austin.
Still have a few rooms in the room block at Embassy Suites South Congress----short walk to Continental Club, C-Boys etc. https://www.hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/auslkes-lon-1144a783-e301-447d-b108-0ae87acffe22/
