There was a time in this country, when automobile manufacturers, included distinct features such as styled bumpers and grilles, and very cool headlight bezels / doors. A person could actually distinguish, one car make from another by the face and personality of the car. I miss those days.

...This was an inspiration I did of one the Hambs much celebrated membership @squirrel at one of his well documented Threads of an Event he has participated in numerous times showcasing his valued vast mechanical knowledge base and humor being put to the test with his brother David and regardless of his position at the end of the race he's always a winner in my book...

Cheers Mate...thanks for sharing the goodtimes...;)

    Hello,

I was remembering this cool looking 36 Ford Coupe at this old gas station that recently closed. The photos I took were good, for an overcast day. Something was calling out to me months later about the photo and styling of the 1936 Ford Coupe. It was old style, but yet accepted in the modern car shows in town and elsewhere.

The front grille was just begging it to be turned into a roadster pick up. The cool grille, the side louvers/vents, the unusual hood, all were a part of being different in builds. So, for the next month or so of fiddling around different designs, I decided that if two teenagers, a long time ago, had a hard time fitting in the old Ford coupes comfortably, what about now?

To solve this problem, an extended cab would be necessary without ruining the overall design. The pickup bed could be the standard, or shortened to fit the design. The extension would keep the stock doors handy and the bed would could be shortened anytime. Plus, for us, it would have to be a full fendered roadster pickup, not the fenderless truck.

The color is something that makes RPU’s stand out. YRMV
