We are compiling a collection of our car show T-shirts and artwork for the 50 anniversary of our club, Triple Cities Street Rods (Binghamton NY).
I've been a member for 48 of those 50 years and have done the T-Shirt artwork for our car show for all those years:eek:...here's a few...

  14. Love the open car behind the old steamer. The whole scene is great. Thanks.

    Hello,

One of the most unusual 1934 Ford coupes is the Roto-Faze Altered Coupe. From the outside, it looks like it could be one of many Hemi or SBC equipped Altered Coupes that were running during those early days.

But, this one had a surprise…

Since I was able to get one of the first C&O Stick Hydros installed in my 58 Chevy Impala, it is always fun to see other race cars that were also inspired by that new company. In 1959-60 we got involved with the team at C&O Hydros in the Gardena/Torrance area. Gene Ciambella had a great crew that knew Hydramatic transmissions inside and out. Their knowledge was impressive. We ended up with the only 1958 Impala in our So Cal cruising grounds that had a C&O Stick Hydro transmission.

“When we needed an “automatic transmission” for our 3 speed Impala to satisfy my mom, we knew where to go to get one. The C&O guys were just starting, but even our expert mechanic friend in Los Angeles knew of them and the quality work done from the shop. So, instead of getting the super high priced B&M hydro and doing the conversion by ourselves, the team at C&O had a simple policy.”

“Bring in an old Hydramatic transmission and they will install a newly modified/guaranteed Stick Hydro manual/automatic transmission. With plenty of auto wrecking yards within miles of our Westside Long Beach house, we had a plentiful supply of inexpensive Hydramatic Transmissions at our disposal. They told us what model they would like and we went to find one, just down the street. It was to supply their line of workable Hydramatic Transmissions for future modifications and installs.”

“They converted the 3 speed stick over to “automatic” while still using the cool column shifter lever. We just had to remember where the gear selector places were, as the stock Impala stick shift had the aluminum plate covering the gear selector, as it was originally a 3 speed stick shift.”

The transmission was a manual 1-2-3 or in the last selection, “drive.” It went through all forward gears as a normal Hydramatic transmission drive selection. For some reason, if I needed to use the individual gears, the transmission was a stick shift, with the selected gear staying in the one gear until moved to the next. No more external clutch coordination and speed shifting. It was automatically done.

The Roto Faze 1934 Coupe was sponsored by the C&O Stick Hydro Company and with all of that
12-cylinder power, it was stomp the throttle and “Hang On Snoopy...”

  18. I took this photo at the Walter P Chrysler museum before they closed it. I hope it is considered art- the work that is, not so much my photo. Sorry about the picture of a picture. 52A9FCB4-A8AB-4474-963E-747DB5208595.jpeg

The Late Tesla was a genius of many things...among them was his artistic hand...I was in awe of this work he did in the late 30s and many times what's old and unpopular was left as a design that collected dust has now resurfaced as the future of the modern car...

...enough of that though, what I did was a collaboration being a Hamber and saw a potential for a more Sporty tudor model lowered to give it a Custom look...and it didn't stop at the outside either...the upper larger image is my Inspiration and the Thumbnail is the original...

I wish I could share this with him as I'd be interested in his thoughts...

Happy Friday All!!...Knocking it out of the park...ing lot as usual... @themoose that Stude should become a reality...truly gorgeous...
