Folks Of Interest Had one of those birthdays that end with a zero

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by anthony myrick, Jan 22, 2022.

  1. A few months back I had one of those birthdays where people get together and laugh at old pictures of yourself.
    Here are a few

Only thing that would would do you justice is to:

    Have a mullet.

Have that Camaro sitting on cinder blocks;)

The movie Joe Dirt comes to mind…

  5. Didn’t have the Dirt mullet but I knew where the store that got the earliest Auto Traders was

and I have a video of me and a friend lip syncing Metallica

I'm surprised none of the pictures are of you wearing an orange jump suit! Happy birthday and hope you have many more!

Most old pictures of me were preteen pictures, not many taken of me after that.
    A belated HB.

  24. Not really.
    Other than buy more rides.

well Ok. Out of the pics posted, the biggest regret would not be fixing the Mercury and selling the barracuda.

Scan0640.jpg A few years ago, Ernie Smith did a fly-over at our local car show. SOLO No big deal right. He was 98 at the time and the oldest living pilot in the world. With a license. Age is what you make of it. He lived to be 103.

Most of the good advice has already been given. My only thought is: keep having more birthdays!

  28. On a side note. I didn’t know what area to post this. History? naaaa Event coverage? maybe.
maybe the forum needs a “folks of little interest”

It was weird watching your life in pictures.Lots of folks laughing.
several car pics, these were the forum friendly ones.
the cars aren’t very important. The relationships are.
im about to sell a ride that has an engine I built with my dad and uncle while I was in high school. I’m hesitant to sell. The engine isn’t anything special. Just an average SBF. It’s just a hunk of iron. But, the memories and lessons learned are more important than the iron itself.

Never turn down a good birthday celebration. There are plenty of folks who no longer have 'em.
Congrats on your milestone. And you better post that new photo on the mug shots thread if you haven't already... :D
