Bruce, that's is only for setup, it's getting this Culver City unit, with 35-36 arms. IMG_8344.JPG IMG_8345.JPG

I need to hire a photographer, as I can't hold the parts and shoot the pictures, with any quality.

If I lived close, you wouldn't have to hire anyone, I would love to hangout and take pictures of you performing your magic! :D

Quality don't need an expert photographer, we can see what it is!

Over the weekend, I shuffled some cars around, and made a spot to assemble my '40 PU chassis, in my spare time. Also, I picked up the wheels from a friend's wheel rack in his back yard, they are prefect for what I wanted. 15X8 rears and 15X5.5 fronts, 5-1/2 " bolt circle, with late centers. I quickly had them blasted and powdercoated Almond, and will use some 55 Passenger car caps out of another friend's collection. They should contrast well with the Washington Blue. Boy those hubcaps bring back memories, of my first car, 55 Ford Customline. It had those caps. Shouldn't have tried to make a stockcar out of it...

Yes it is, I did find some last night and this morning, as I installed the mid section pieces in the frame. After powdercoat, everything fits a little tighter, but with a ratchet strap, some small bars and a dead blow hammer, it went together great. IMG_8370.JPG IMG_8371.JPG IMG_8372.JPG

The frame is gorgeous Marty! And as far as Mitch is concerned, he always knows best!

Bill, it ain't gorgeous, but it will suffice. With some luck, I should have it on wheels by the weekend, and get ready to undercoat and set the cab on soon. Are you going to the NWDRA swap at the fairgrounds this weekend ? I hope to see you there !

I hadn't made plans to attend, hell didn't know it was going on. Sounds like I may take a break from sanding.

After getting the torque tube sandblasted, I removed the mounting lug for the rear arms, to be relocated forward, then came the shortening. I needed to shorten it to 52-7/8", so I cut it twice, after making clock marks, to keep the orientation in correct alignment. After facing the flange end, I beveled it for a weld prep, and did the same with the belt sander on the tube. I generally tack weld on quarters, and then on eighths, before the final welding. We will deal with the inner shaft later. IMG_8393.JPG IMG_8394.JPG IMG_8395.JPG IMG_8396.JPG IMG_8397.JPG IMG_8399.JPG IMG_8400.JPG
