Check with Planned Parenthood. It may be a recent abortion.

I don't mind it. Build a racecar out of it, the rear wheel wells are already large enough to hold a 14x32 slick. Nobody will say "I had one just like it" that's for sure.

I don't know I like it, you might be surprised if it had fresh paint. I had a friend when I was 18 that had a 63 Dodge full sise 4 door that he cut in two and did something similar, candy green with a 392 Hemi. The roof line was very similar, very cool....

  13. I think if it was a roadster with the windshield chopped, it would look cool. That roof makes it look like a clown car.

Other than the rear bumper, I like it. Anybody recognize the rear wheel openings? The door window looks like the rear window of a 4 door of some sort.

The "history" of the car is it used to be '51 Ford Victoria but the Victoria is now "history!"

If the roof was moved back a bit to enlarge the door glass, it might have potential as a 50s homebuilt looking kind of something.

Perhaps the photoshop gurus around here could enlarge the door window and make it look somewhat better

Looks like they took a perfectly good 51 Victoria and made it just as ugly as they could and then added a lot more ugly!

49-51 fords weren’t that far from being really ugly as they were from the factory.

I agree, had you posted that you older friend/mentor had built the car, and laid out a 500 word post, all would love it, but since it was pulled out of some place by a friend, the car doesn’t measure up.

Wouldn’t it be cool to find out this was a Barris,. lil John, etc thing done way back in the day? They’d all be drooling over it;)

Hmmm...Looks like a LOT of work went into that car. Someone had a vision and tried to make it so.
I think it would look better if the door glass was bigger. But doing that now would also be a lot of work.
I'd like to see a photoshop of it with bigger door glass going up into the roof towards the rear..

Okay, sure its not everybody's cup of tea no doubt ! But as has been stated, " somebody did a lot of work on that car "
Now for me, and my warped, eclectic, eccentric, taste, first of all, its a survivor, and at some point it was somebody's pride and joy.

I hope this car gets a lot of TLC, all of the rust removed, a proper paint job, and the correct set of tires and wheels, that will do a lot to help it along, to be looking as good as it can get, or can be, considering what the original intent was, by who ever built it ?

That being said, one thing is for sure, when this project gets all done, and if it ever makes it to some gathering of cars, like cars and coffee or something like that, it will be the only one like it there, and regardless of the assumed negative comments, it will surely evoke, there will be people standing around it, looking at it, and taking pictures of it !

I think its very cool !

That is just my 8 cents worth, as an opinion !

I suspect a number of people tried to make the lowly shoebox look better. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, but there is a proud builder for ever attempt..... Model A sect ford 015.JPG
