Probably this channeled’32 roadster. Sold it about the time Brookville started producing their bodies. I did keep my wheels and the coded 327/350 hp engine out of her. Got market value for it though : C3987C36-963E-4158-81AC-24524F069DF0.jpeg
Or maybe my’68 hemi Road Runner…

I bought this '47 Coupe from a friend in 1989. Nosed , decked, shaved. It had rolled pans front and rear, hand built 1/2" stainless tube grill. Motor was 59A with Edmonds 2 deuce intake and Evans heads. 39 trans, 4 inch dropped Super Bell axle. Sold it ten years later. Not forgiving myself for that BIG mistake.

Most of the cars I had when I was young were fairly worn when I got them and I didn't help matters. A few I wouldn't mind still having are my 54 Mercury Convertible (first car), my 58 Impala with a 348, stick and tri-power, my 65 Galaxie, my 64 Lincoln sedan, my 70 Continental Mk III and all three of my sprint cars.

1963-1968 I really should have kept this one!!!

  9. I would like to have the first car I bought back, a 1966 Fairlane XL 390/4speed, but I guess in all of the hundred or so cars I have owned I do really regret selling my 1959 Corvette. I know I would have still owned it today if I had just gotten past that divorce settlement.
This is not the one I sold, but an exact image of it:

OT but my 1969 W-31 Cutlass. Sold it cheap to my then brother-in-law who totalled it, repaired it, blew up the engine, replaced it with a big block Chevy, then totalled it a second time beyond repair.

  16. There were dozens, but one that stands out was the primo '58 Chevy convert I bought for the 348 and scrapped the rest.

this is the only one I really regret losing. 1962 327, B/W T10. It was my college car. After VietNam, grad school, marriage, a kid, and a new house, it was time.

  20. There have been many that I would love to still have, but not too many I honestly regret selling. A couple come to mind.....OT 66 Corvette Conv blue with white top & interior, OT 66 GTO conv 4spd, but the one I really wish I had back was this 60 Ventura (stock photo as I never took pics back then). This car was so clean & had so much potential, but somebody else wanted it more than I did at the time, so I opted for the big profit instead of the car!

    God Bless

I bought it with every intention of building it. But, someone else came along and offered a price I couldn't refuse at the time. In retrospect I wish the buyer had never shown up!

  23. I just built them to drive, never fell in love with a car.... until now. Took me a while to get the 60 El Camino, it's staying here. ;):D

No pictures of it, but my first car was a 1955 Ford Fairlane that I put a 430 Lincoln engine in.It was my high school car. I sold it when I went to college after I bought a car that had 271 horsepower in it. I sold it for $150!

while in the army in 1970 a good friend traded in his w30? olds foe a porsche and very shortly traded that in for a brand new 1970 grabber blue ranchero with a 429scj with 4.30s and a shaker scoop and c-6 it was fast enough that you very fast got beyond steering and stopping ability with the stock e or f 78 14 tires on steel rims

Back in '75 : my '46 Studebaker M5 pu with a 289 sbf : my first real "hot rod" in that I did a complete engine swap instead of just replacing a bad engine with a better one of the same type & brand, (& all by myself.) Yeah, I still miss it from time to time....
