When did these trucks have the V/8 stamped into the hood instead of the Ford script? Is this a Mercury truck? Very interesting.

Remains of Willys Overland Touring. Made into a Doodle Bug, long ago. F515363B-76B5-4D12-998A-9BADBCB7770A.jpeg 9D4421CA-BD02-4734-A118-DECD8B3DA217.jpeg 77CD3C19-6805-4DBC-8FC4-622C95850F79.jpeg

The trucks that were bigger than the pickup had this style front end in 1940. That truck looks like a 122" Express model. Cool truck!

There's enough of that Overland left to build a modified, pretty cool for a doodlebug.

Well, here’s a couple more. A friend passed away unexpectedly and these were part of what was behind the garage. My buddy scored the 49 Chevy Sedan Delivery and can’t remember who got the (very rough) 40 Tudor. 502F3BEF-3090-4127-8FDC-9E2C3D9659A9.jpeg 5EB4D624-F3EA-4F80-959D-684256D7CAAF.jpeg A3FBB2FA-8364-4824-92C2-A3DE3C6E8A43.jpeg 700C339E-CF22-4C23-A571-F191D18759B9.jpeg

Turtle deck racer with the pushbar welded on the back in the first pic is also interesting. And the Chev sedan (41?) behind the delivery looks like an old custom that had quad headlights grafted in. Your friend had good taste.

The sedan is actually a 41 Buick Special and has the optional , and very cool, dual carb (compound carburation) set-up. A prior owner must have been channeling George Barris when he attempted to graft the 58 Chevy quad headlights. This is the only car that’s left and it’ll be for sale when I get back to NY in the Spring.

The grille bar in that '54 above is still worth grabbing.

  21. That was one year only, as the next year they also had six cylinder engines.

I know these Lincolns are fairly thin on the ground in the US, But I couldn't believe seeing this one sitting & rotting in a yard just outside of 271584578_466212465124235_862640267719904309_n.jpg Sydney Australia.
