Theres some subtitles on the pics but Louie bought the car around 1962-64 (neither seem to remember) from Gordy, Gordy bought it as a roller in South Saint Paul mn in 1954/55 ish, it was already chopped, Gordy installed the flathead, changes the dash, chrome plated a bunch of stuff and put different wheels and tires on it, and did a bunch of body work and prepped it for paint.

That's great, a car with real history and pictures to match, untouched (relatively) since it's original build date in the 50's, a real treasure.

There isn't a better caretaker for that car. I'm sure you'll love it as much if not more than Louie and Gordy did.

Good for you. I, like you, like the white wall look also and agree with Danny on the rear bumper brackets.

Wicked cool hotrod Jeff and your buddy knew it was in great hands when it was going to you. I can’t wait to see it and she looks like a perfect time capsule .

Sorry, there wont be any repro parts on this one, or modifications to it as its really been this way since the mid 50s and it wont be changed anytime soon, the car is basically a 99% original survivor with all of the original parts to the car used, of a course there are some new mechanical service parts and new wiring too. A few other bits that were put on it (like the air cleaners) when i went thru the car will be switched back to original parts, things start getting changed and it just starts blending in with all the other stuff. and of course i dont mind all that other stuff and if i was doing a new built it might get tucked in bumpers but this one wont.

Great car, please post more detail pics when you have an opportunity.

Has it been flat black since it was built?

its actually dark grey and splotchy, im not sure of the finish when Gordy got it in 1954/55 ish but Gordy was working on it to get it ready to paint and i would guess it got put in gray primer in the late 50s so its, i need to call Gordy and ask more questions about it.
