Love the '59's. To me though, the grille was too busy and the strange upper wrap around hood / trunk mouldings never made sense to me. That is why on mine I am moulding these front and back and why I cut my grille up.

'58/'59 Edsels; from the front fenderwells back are great looking cars
(1960's look great but they are just Fords with custom taillights basically,).

I think (as it has been discussed before,), and some of you may agree,
the stock front-end on the '58 has too many "opposing angle" intersection lines,
and then they "compliment" that grill with some more of FoMoCo's giant dual bugeye headlights
(on the '58's anyways, those headlights are way worse than '57 Ford bugeyes!).

I want to see a '59 Edsel with a '59 Ford front end, single headlights and a '57 front bumper.
Seriously, someone please build that, I'd start it but I'm working on my '58!

We know '57-'59 Ford and Edsel front ends interchange, because of all the "Edchero's" that have been built over time-
But when do we get to see a ding-danged Edsel with a Ford front end?
(I'm working on SOMETHING similar... but I'm slow!)

    Cool thread! Thanks!
