The fun of daily driving the 56 lately. Spotted a Chevy coupe in town last week that I have never seen before. Need to check it out someday that it isn’t raining.

Haven't seen that before just now and looks like you did real good. I still miss your Model A Sedan though.
Drove that highway many, many times taking the back way to Santa Fe and Los Alamos to work.

Hello,

We have been cruising around during the pandemic to go on weekly errands and to make our lives a little more cheerful, while we adjust to this world wide mess. Our immediate family has been very supportive with their safety and especially with our “old folks” safety concerns. So, we are all protected as much as possible and not contributing to the possible spread of whatever comes our way.

As a means to have something different in our lives during this time, we have taken short road trips up and down the coastline. It gives us some resemblance of what we used to do prior to the worldwide pandemic. It does open up our eyes that there still is beauty within the big problem.

Some places we haven’t seen in 20 years, just brings it back home the minute we see the ocean, the beach and of course, the waves. The sand is still there, the water looks just as blue and the activity that we all like going to the beach is definitely still there. There are just less people involved in the daily activities.

But, we have seen old trucks, and a few hot rods cruising around the area. With a quick moving digital camera photo, the results are enlightening when doing some folder edits. This yellow pickup truck looks like ones we used to see back beyond the 30-40 year history in So Cal. The look goes back to the 50s and 60s.

Color matching steel rims, chrome trim rings and a small smooth hubcap for highlights.

The next time we go by the location and if the yellow pickup truck is still there, we might be able to get other photos for our folder.

The bobblehead reminded me of this fella Jeff...he's on your side of course...

I also thought it was neat seeing the Thrush...oops...I mean Mr. Horsepower logo reflecting in the Windshield...cameras and glass have a way of making unexpected magic...Good Times!!

That's a view that I have seen off and on for the past 60 years, and never tire of that nice dash. I recently sold my '58, but didn't have much time to enjoy peering at the dash....

 

This is what I love looking out at from inside m y Model A, even when it's 28 degrees out, like it was when I shot this photo.......

 

And that is not difficult for us Yanks to do. Only made the mistake once.
