    A couple of these pictures reminds me of an old Captains house that sat on a hill in Rockland not too far from where I grew up. It was a grand old place that had fallen into disrepair and eventually torn down. But somebody took a picture of it and used it for a Christmas painting titled "Dad's Home!" showing Dad pulling up in a '32 Ford, with the kids building a snowman and his wife on the front porch to greet him. There was a Christmas tree in the turret of the house, and the place was lit up with that warm glow you see on a snowy winter evening. Speaking of which, we received a few inches of snow overnight, so I need to fire up the tractor and clean the driveway...

    of us being on the outside looking in, we cut it open, climbed in, sealed it back up and waved at the
    neighbors and passer-by's...lots of fun and double-takes...
