We wanted to put together a car show that was specific to the pre-1945 cars, way more traditional than most people like. We have a lot of rules, but we think it'll be a super cool car show unlike any other. In most states in the summer you can hit a car show any weekend and see the mustang club or mostly cars you're really not into. This is gonna be a car show that highlights the 40s era customs and hot rods!

June 10-11, 2022 we'll have the Prewar Pileup at Roger's Point park in Catoosa Oklahoma on Route 66 close to the famous Blue Whale.

Friday will consist of a reliability run down Route 66 hitting a few of coolest places on 66 near Tulsa. Saturday we'll have the coolest car show around.

All registration will go thru the website prior to the car show, where you will upload pics and the specifics of your car. There are a list of rules that are kind of lengthy, but we are sticking to the prewar theme for the car show. We just want the kind of cars that fit the theme there.

    Follow us on IG @prewarpileup

    or on Facebook:
    https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=prewar pileup

    Hope you can make it!!!

Gotta clarifiying question: What about small block chevys? Rules say no engines post 55. SBC came out in 55. My 39 Ford has an SBC mated to the original drivetrain. Is that ok or no?

Standards for "exceptence" (Acceptance?) say engines must be 1954 or earlier.

  6. Duncan- but then down below it says engines post 55 are a no-no. That's why I asked, they way it's phrased is contradictory. Post 55 means 55 is ok, meaning sbc's are ok. Maybe it's a typo, should say post 54.... kinda like "exceptance"

Like those who say the HAMB is pre-65 when it is actually pre-66 :)

Actually no engines post 1954, we're still working on the website.

We're really focused on a prewar theme, and not deviating from it. We know we're gonna break a lot of hearts but it just has to be that way.

  9. @stanlow69 sounds like a show for Soldiers Joy.

Powergens are ok. As long as it doesn't look like an alternator.

    Nope it's not allowed. So I'm building a 34 5w....

  17. Sounds like a cool show Chad, but wonder how many cars in this part of the country can meet the rules. Will be watching to see how it turns out and may try to spectate since it is so close.

  18. Sounds like a TROG, car show/drive event, on the Great Plains. Interesting and a little different.

I’m with the “ too many rules” crowd…..but I am way off with my ride….by twenty years or so! :( It’s hard to get a show started……might want to ease up,a little then squeeze down later. My first car show had 30 + cars….and I had no rules! Classes for every car made.

Your 'to' is misspelled, it should read 'Too'. And rules are laid by the promoters. Their gig, their rules. I liked the OG Pile Up in IL way back when, but the hoard's swamped the joint w/their street rods & rat rodents at the gate each year, causing major drama & traffic jams. And the guys putting this on know the turn out will not be strong, but they know what they are doing. Purity over quantity. Rock-da-fook-on gentlemen.

We already have a ton of interest from out of staters... shouldn't be a problem.... and if we get 6 cars no big deal we'll have an awesome party for all 6!!!

Like I stated... there's a bazillion car show any given weekend for the folks that don't meet the requirements. Ya'll don't cry, root us on for carrying on what our granddad's were doing!!

Picking up a frame next week. But......... is it the same weekend as Custom Car Revival ? 16`s ? An alternator, it will be driven everywhere. Plus nighttime driving. And a Flat 6 Mopar. Pre 52. Guess I`m out. Like it`ll be in driving condition next year. Everything else will pass except maybe the rear end. IMG_20211017_0003.jpg

  29. Yes, same weekend as CCR, but not likely to affect each other, in my opinion.
