I watched the complete movie. Some real cool old cars. A very bad story with poor acting. But I still thought it was quite fun to watch!
Best movie I've seen since I watched Ford v Ferrari. Of course, it is also the ONLY movie I have watched since Ford v Ferrari!
Nicolson made up for this and several other similar flicks with Easy Rider in 1969. I hated Nicolson made up for this dismal film along with several other with Easy Rider in 1969. I did not like the way it portrayed Louisiana as hippie hating Red Neck assholes. I had a panhead Harley at the time. I often rode along the old River Road and had many pleasant encounters with the locals when stopping for a cold one. Louisiana was a very laid back culture in those days. Every one was pretty much accepted and melded into the local society smoothly. Other than the shocking "death scene" I liked the movie.
In the movie. Contra Costa County Speedway was Nor Cal in the Pacheco Pleasant Hill area . The number 1 sprint car C - W Auto Wreckers Novato CA. Was Paul Worden NARC sprint car champ later moved to Petaluma on Lakeville St that old sprint car was on top of stack of old junk cars for years you could see it from the street driving by.
Truthfully, some old movies are better left alone and not colorized, it's a 50's B movie and the acting wasn't equal to that of today, it was good for the time. HRP
Well I found out that Nicholson just replayed that role over and over again throughout his career. Man talk about shitty acting, soundtrack, story line, they should round up every copy of that crap and burn them all! Must have had a $50.00 budget. Never liked Nicholson at all and any of the characters he played. Just shows that you don’t need talent to be famous... perhaps having no talent is the requirement.
