Thanks for reminding us about what we have to be thankful for. 3 years ago on Black Friday I lost a great friend, mentor, and one hell of a hot rodder. Not a day goes by that I see something he helped me with or wish he was still here to kick me in the butt and get something done. Yes, I'm thankful for all the good times we had but wish there were still more in the making. Cancer sucks.
@Ryan Felicidades Primo. When I first joined the HAMB my curses were many, at least life seemed that way. The Boss made people like me count our blessings or at least find like minded people. Those curses are still there but they pale in comparison to the blessings. I hope you all find as many things to be thankful for as I am today.
I feel pretty well blessed this year, my wife and I are in pretty good health, our brains still work pretty well and our son and daughter are both doing well. We finally got our daughter married off to a great guy (first marriage at 42) and our son has found a fantastic lady as his partner. No grand kids but a bunch of grand dogs to spoil. I remember when we drove to Texas in the 48 in 1981 we forgot our box of cassette tapes and the only tape we had was a Willy Nelson tape. We got pretty tired of that one after a while. Plus you need ZZ Top late at night to stay awake and not Willy's music. Back a few years ago Willy used to show up in this area every once in a while when his mom lived in the area.
Ryan, Most of the really good stuff has already been said, however, rest assured I am thankful for you and all the folks who participate on the HAMB. They inspire, help, guide and inform me how to do move forward with my projects! Have a great Thanksgiving Holiday!

Yep, remember it well...he did an interview in his RV with Dan Rather a couple of years ago, and mentioned his tax troubles. He laughed and said that if you have a little tax problem with the IRS, they want to send you to jail. If you have a BIG tax problem with the IRS they want to keep you working to pay it back. So true....

We had our traditional thanksgiving meal at school Friday. Toast, popcorn and pretzels. Didn’t have jelly beans though. one student brought some cheese-its. Added a nice festive color to the meal.
