Nielsen’s Super Service Station – Los Angeles, California Today’s featured images are of Nielsen’s Super Service Station located at 3436 West 1st Street in Los Angeles, CA, at some point in 1928. Signs on the Station indicates Nielsen was selling gasoline and oil refined by the Western Oil Company and Veedol oil from Pennsylvania. A second building behind the Station handled batteries, electrical repairs, and radios.

In addition to sponsoring automobile and air racing activities, he was responsible for Gilmore Stadium being built in Los Angeles, California, it opened in 1934.
