I took a run over the pass to the Maryhill Museum for the annual Concours de Maryhill that is a fancy name for a laid back car show with a mixed bag of interesting cars. Not too many Hamb friendly ones this year but I figured out this morning that one does belong to a member. I'll lead it off with his Chevy.

The Yellow truck had OT wheels and one has to go through my smugmug album for the rest of the photos of it and the OT rigs or rigs with OT pieces as I didn't post the tri-5 Chebbies with the aluminum cross flow radiators here either. 2021 Concours De Maryhill - Robert Davison (smugmug.com) IMG_2715 (2).JPG IMG_2709 (2).JPG IMG_2708.JPG IMG_2696 (2).JPG IMG_2694.JPG IMG_2689.JPG IMG_2686.JPG IMG_2682 (2).JPG IMG_2685.JPG IMG_2680.JPG IMG_2679.JPG IMG_2678.JPG

Nice little 39 Standard coupe and the Gold Impala is one of those documented one of 300 and something Anniversary edition 62 Impalas. It caught my attention because a lady in town bought one new and drove it for years and I put groceries in it when I was working as a box boy in the mid 60's. IMG_2627 - Copy (2).JPG IMG_2628.JPG IMG_2629.JPG The red Bentley is about as close to a factory hot rod as you can get. The gent who owns it (in the red shirt) has driven it up Maryhill Loop on the Maryhill Hill climb close to 180 times over the years. It's a road car that gets driven and is pretty cool.
Note" the Maryhill Loop is a stretch of the Old highway from Maryhill Wa to Goldendale Wa that was the first section of paved road in the state of Washington. The lower section of the road runs past the Stonehenge monument.

Thanks for sharing! On a side note old Sam Hill was an interesting guy. He also designed the first ever rest stop in 1915, Crown Point.

I wasn't going to go to that show because they called it a "concours" event, which made me think it was some high falootin' sort of restoration museum event. But a friend who goes every year told me it was just a car show, so my wife and I made the 100 mile drive each way.
Coming up Hwy 14 in the dark, with heavy fog was a white knuckled affair that morning! But the show was great, and drive home was very nice on the same route! Sorry we didn't get to met and visit there!

Thanks for the pics and reminder. That 3 car looks like a lot of the cars that ran the hill climb there in the 50's.
I ran there twice in a T roadster and won the class.

I should have stopped and talked to you but my knees were getting tired and I was getting hungry. There are usually more and maybe more interesting race cars that drive up from the pits at the base of the loop where they race on Sunday.

I've got two bad knees, and that's why I was sitting there by my '39 most of the day. Did a little tour of the cars, but not much. My wife saw more than I did! You could have used her chair! She wasn't in it much! :)

I was out of town that weekend (live an hour away), but hope to make it and meet fellow HAMBers next year.

My knees were hurting By the time I got around to your car. I usually make about three passes through the event but made one and done that day.
It is pretty popular with Hood River Car folk. A nice end of the season gathering and if you want to go over and cruise up the old Maryhill loop they have it open to do that.

Sounds nice. There was a bit of talk among a group of folks from Hood River driving their cars up to the show, but it didn’t pan out. I’ll push for next year.
