Hello, I was left a 1930 ford coupe. I'm not much of a car guy, but I'd like to know more about what's going on here and what things might be worth.
I've gathered a few things- Its a 1930 ford coupe that's been chopped and converted into a hot rod, its got a v6 with what might have originally been a Buick engine, and there was a catch pan underneath it with a little oil before I moved it. Also, looks like ti has collector plates. (I'm in wisconsin)

Any help is appreciated! If there's any way I can help you help me, please, let me know.

    Thank you!

There is no justice in the world. You inherited a car like that and you're not a car guy. I'd suggest you become one but, if all you're doing on here is trying to get someone to price that car, I suggest you search the classifieds and figure out what it's worth to you. I'm sure as hell not going to. And, yeah, I'm jealous.

get it off the trailer, get it unwrapped. Put air in the tires. Take off the gas cap, see if it smells like gas, or if it stinks like rotten gas. See if there's antifreeze in the radiator. See if the brakes work. See if the lights work, or if the battery is dead.

Get the title in your name, and the registration current.

Fix all the stuff I mentioned, then drive the car and have some fun!

Do you know anything about it’s previous life? I/e has it been on the road recently, been stored for years, etc?

If you really don’t want the car maybe search for a reputable consignment place that deals in older and classic vehicles and hot rods/street rods.

Drive it. Someone thought enough of you to leave you their hot rod. You're not a car guy so you wouldn't understand what that means. Maybe get it going and drive it a while before you sell it.

Your best bet is to find a local (reputable) shop to go through it to get it running and driving.
Sitting on the trailer, with all the unknowns and un-drivable, it's probably a 10-12K car. Running, driving and usable, you could easily double that value. IMHO;)

Whatever it’s worth, it is worth More when it’s Driving. It’s a Great start to being a “car” guy in my opinion (fwiw)! Share your location, there may be some HAMBERS in the area. Keep us in the loop, Carp.

Blown Buick V6 is odd enough that more than a few guys should know something about the car if it has been around a while.

The ugly wrap on the megaphone headers is a fairly recent thing making it look like the car may have been redone in the past 10 years. The Megaphone headers and no other exhaust didn't become a fad until 10/15 years ago either.
Still a chopped Black 30/31 A coupe on Deuce rails with a chassis that looks pretty well set up is worth somewhere between 10 and 20 K without the engine if it has a clear title in your name. With the engine running and the car safe to drive it may be up to who falls in love with it as far as price goes.

Personally I'd take that swan radiator ornament off and mount it on a base and put it on a shelf as a memento of who ever left it to me and put a plan radiator cap or emblem on it. It doesn't fit with the serious hot rod vibe of the car.
